The owner purchased the 1979 Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce new in 1980 from De Rolo Buick Alfa Romeo in Stockton, California. New car price was $16,000.00 dollars. The owner bought this Alfa for my his wife for Christmas. His wife drove this Alfa until 1987 as her daily driver. The husband drove it to work and other places from 1987 to 1998. In 1998 he drove it into his shop to change the heater control valve under the dash board and he was going to have the dash recovered as it was cracked, but he never finished the project. Car has been sitting ever since inside his shop. Vehicle has been stored inside since 1998. The engine had new sleeves and pistons about six months before being parked also new main and rod bearings. The cylinder head was done about a year before being parkded with new valve guides and valves. Water pump was replaced, rack and pinion were overhauled. Clutch and release bearing were replaced about one year before beinig parked. Also drive shaft and rubber donuts on dirve shaft were replaced. Brake booster needs to be overhaueded. Gasoline has been in tank since it was parked in 1998. Engine turns over freely by had. Vehicle includes original owners manuel, shop manuel and various other literature about the Alfa.
