Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is our GMC Savanna Conversion van. The vehicle has low miles for it's age. I believe we are the second owners of this van, owning it since 2001. This vehicle is loaded with all the power options. The van has four new tires along with a new starter and battery. There are some minor scratches and dings around tthe van, along with minor interior scratches, stains, and tears. Nothing that wouldn't be expected for a vehicle of it's age. I recommend that you come out and take a look for yourself before bidding. I am willing to drive it a reasonable distance if you would like your mechanic to look at it. The ABS light is on, and the Check Engine light came on and off over the last few years. It is off now. It was a MAP or MAF code when I had a mechanic look at it. There is a lien on the title, but I have the lien release documentation. After the payment has cleared (if not cash) we will transfer the paperwork at the DMV. Please ask any questions before bidding. On May-14-13 at 18:51:48 PDT, seller added the following information: I just wanted to add that this is a used vehicle, and is being sold without any guarantee or warranty. The van is being sold as is, where is. The vehicle is available for viewing, test drives, or to bring it to a local mechanic at your expense. In response to an earlier question:Yes, the van is currently in Cheektowaga NY. I want to transfer the vehicle over at a DMV just in case there are any questions about the title, and also so there is an official record that I am no longer the owner of the vehicle. Years ago, I sold a vehicle privately, and it was involved in an accident. It turned out that the new owner never registered it, and I had a hell of a time proving that the vehicle wasn't mine. Another hard learned life lesson. I don't know for sure, but I believe there is a temporary registration to get the vehicle back to your home state. I don't expect someone to have to register the vehicle here in NY just to take it home to another state. However, if the winning bidder does live in NY, registering it in their name is probably what they're going to need to do. If there is someone out there that is more experienced in this, and knows of a better way to transfer ownership, please let me know.
