You are looking at a true survivor vehicle. The paint that this truck is wearing is the paint that the assembly line in Michigan sprayed on it in 1979. This is pretty cool as most of these trucks have been repainted 10 time over or filled with bondo or welded in new panels. It still has the Ziebart Rust proofing decal on the inner door that ultimately saved this truck from rusting. I bought this truck in 2007 with the intention of completely redoing it. It has sat inside since and i still havent touched it, so it's time for it to go to a new owner to either drive the way it is or restore. The paint is thin in spots and the truck has randome scratches and dings with very minimal rust. Above the wheel wells very solid. The only spots that i can see are where someone drilled holes for rear mud flaps at some point which started to rust, also the bottom/inner corner doors all pictured. after that the pictures tell the story. any one is invited and encouraged to drive it and see it in person. This particular combination Medium Canyon Red Macho SE was the center fold for the brochure in 1979. Still hass the factory white vynal lower decal( part of the macho package). The Macho Package was all one color with no chrome mouldings and Tuff steering wheel. As seen in the picture the white Vynal is cracked, but i always left it on because i thought it was cool that it was original. Motor completely stock right down to the exhaust manifolds and still runs and shifts excellently. The prior owner had driven it from Maine to N.J. with out any issues. The Deluxe cloth High back buckets are in excellent shape with only a small hole in the drivers seat no more than a half inch in size. The interior is very cool and over all in great shape with those retro buckets. Originally an Air Conditioned vehicle but the compressor had been removed prior to me. I was excited to buy it as you might be because there are everything is all still there. Happy to put it on a lift for you to inspect or take a picture of whatever you would like to see.
