I bought this from the original owner in Washington state a couple years ago & it's still on the original title. It had a small dent on the right rear corner of the tank & the side covers had a couple cracks so I pulled the dent, painted that spot only & recleared the entire tank, repaired & repainted the side covers. I was going to keep this beautiful bike but I have another GS1150 & recently bought 2 more bikes so, I have to sell this one (6 bikes is too many). It runs perfectly & flat hauls ass! It is very strong & will surprise you for a 28 year old bike. The clutch & trans work very well. It has the original exhaust system (fabulous condition), original seat cover, turn signals, cables, headlight, grips & is a total survivor except for the work I described above. Look how clean & clear the lettering is on the controls! I call these large c.c., early 80's japanese motorcycles "musclebikes", they represent a very interesting transitional period in motorcycle history & are becoming very collectible. I should keep it because it's better than money in the bank & its a blast to ride. but.....I don't have enough room. For what its worth, this is a 1985 motorcycle that was manufactured in June of '84, the serial number is 00167 & it was sold new on the west coast so I'm sure it was one of the first 1985 GS1150's built!! I understood that normal production of 1985 motorcycles wouldn't have started until july of 1984?? Thanks again & ride safe!
