Clean, solid 1986 Peugeot 505 GL. This is a desirable Turbo Special edition model, with the reliable 2.2L engine. It has been a California car all of its life since being sold new at McKevitt Peugeot in the 1980s. Owned locally since 1987. This is a French-made 505 sedan, one of the best cars Peugeot ever made, with its reputation for reliability and longevity. 192K highway miles, with still lots of life left on the car. It has the revised 2.2L engine ( not the early, anemic 2.0L) known for its excellent performance and reliability,mated to the stock four-speed Automatic transmission. NO check engine, NoX or ABS lights on. I am a local private-party seller with over 745+ all-positive feedback, not some car lot. I have always lived in San Mateo, and strive to maintain a 100% rating. My feedback speaks for itself, so bid with confidence. The engine runs well; always starts right up, idles smoothly and gets up and goes without hesitation. It is a completely stock 2.2L fuel injected motor with no modifications except for a top end overhaul two years ago. Very strong engine, it does not burn oil or smoke. The transmission shifts very well and smoothly into all forward and reverse gears, without slippage. It had a new water pump installed, fuel pump, ABS servo, ECU computer and electronic ECM both replaced. The body is remarkably straight for its age, still in its original factory Alpine white finish which has held up very well after 27 years. It actually looks very good. There is a little dent on the right fender tip that has been there for a long time. The car is sold exactly as you see it, nothing more or nothing less. This 505 has a set of factory Peugeot Turbo Sport wheels, with radial tires. The tread on the tires is about 60% all around. The interior is in excellent condition for its age. The front seats have NO rips, splits or undone seams. The glass on all doors is fine and all windows go up and down fine. Central locking, Power door locks, No sunroof, and manual windows ( thus, no electric gremlins or leaks). PERFECT dash. This car has a CLEAR California title, and it passed CA smog Emissions inspection with no problems in January. Overall, a solid, rare Peugeot 505 Turbo for a modest asking price.
