1964 Ford Galaxie 500 2 Door HT Fastback- This car has a correct Date coded Ford 427/425 hp Solid lifter Center Oiler motor with Dual Quads and the correct 427 Dual Quad Aluminum Air Cleaner with the 427 Emblem, also has a very rare vintage ford Dual Quad Aluminum Intake - Ford Part Number C8AX9424A. In one of the Detailed pictures you can see the factory cross drilled holes on the lower part of the block identifying a true 427. The Galaxie 500 came Factory with a Big Block Ford 352 FE motor, it's a X code car. This is the closest thing you can get to a real R code Galaxie without paying The R code price. Has a Rebuilt C6 Tranny with a 2800 stall and a 9 inch rear end. The body is very solid, it's a original Black Plate CA Car with it's original Black Plates. The car has Burgundy paint and other parts have been touched up and the top of the car is black primer, over all the paint and primer is very old (20 + Years Old) and could use a new paint job. The floors are in great shape along with the trunk, it looks like the factory Ford paint is original in the trunk. The Galaxie Brown two tone interior is all original and in fair shape, it shows it's age. Still has the factory AM Radio along with the clock and factory steering wheel. The Galaxie has a Vintage tach and gauges too. All the chrome and stainless is all in good restorable shape. The glass is in good shape, the driver side door glass is cracked. The Galaxie 500 has power Brakes, also is a power steering car too, but the power steering pump is off, but I do have the power steering pump and the lines that go with the car. The 427/425 hp Center Oiler starts up and runs. The old timer I bought the Galaxie 500 off of owned the Galaxie for over 15 years, he put some new parts in the 427/425 hp motor, new correct solid lifter complete cam kit, push rods, lifters and high dollar roller rockers, also High volume oil pump and some odds and ends, this is what the old timer told me, he seems like a very honest person, im going off his word. The Galaxie 500 has been in storage for many years, so I would go threw everything in detail before I would take it on a road trip, also I would get the Radiator rotted out from a Radiator shop. The Galaxie has new Dual exhaust . Over all the Galaxie 500 is in pretty fair shape for it's age, very solid CA Black Plate Car with no major Rust issues that I can see. Like I said before this is one of the closest things you can get to a R code Galaxie without paying the R code price. This would be a great car to go threw and fix up. I have the clean Title in hand.
