Auction is for 1964 Studebaker Gran Torismo Hawk - last year of manufacture of this model by Studebaker. Car serial# 64V11177 / 289 Studebaker V8 engine 2 Barrel Carberator engine serial # PH319. Twin Traction (positraction) Rear DifferentialWhite with Red interior and Rare Factory Black Vinyl Sport Roof. Interior in good condition - drivers seat thread worn. Headliner complete and in great shape. Padded Dash in excellent condition Car is great candidate for full restoration or drive and enjoy as is. Has rust issues on lower rockers, frame has rust but is solid and some repairs done to insure that is so.Car starts and drives out well. Just took on a 250 mile round trip to a Studebaker meeting much of which was on the interstate and car performed beautifully. V8 purrs with glasspacks and 3 speed manual transmission with Overdrive functions as it should and cruises at 70 - 75 without breaking a sweat.Items completed in last 6 months to make car more driveable, enjoyable and reliable include: * Brand New tires all around - purchased 1/16/2013 and have less than 500 total miles on them * Brake system> rebuild of master cylinder and all wheel cylinders / all new rubber brake lines / new brake lining * Engine>Oil and filter change / new air and fuel filters / tune up including new spark plugs and all new plug wires / new valve cover gaskets * Other> New CORRECT trunk floor pan from Classic Enterprises installed / AM/FM radio installed in factory location - (does not look out of place) - Working Original AM radio and speaker will be included with car sale / New 12 Volt Battery / New Radiator Hoses / New cigarette lighter installed (have to use GPS you know) / New wiper blades * Car also comes with original invoice (pictured) from Studebaker to Dealer , the original Studebaker Sales & Service CAR ORDER from originating dealer and owner dated and signed 9/25/1963. This Studebaker can be picked up by the carrier of your choice or DRIVE it home with no problem.
