Vehicle Detail

FOR SALE: 1972 Chevy K-5 Blazer 4x4. Reason for selling: moving from NJ to North Carolina outer banks where the salt air will eat this beautiful 4x4 K-5 to bits. Plus I have three other vehicles and all my furniture and belongings etc. to move down there. The previous owner said it came from Utah. He then installed a new 350 small block with an aluminum Edelbrock intake and a 4 bbl. (I think it is a Quadrajet… look at the top of the carb). Shortly after installing the new engine, he got married and needed to sell the truck. The odometer reads 36888 and I put less than 1,000 of those miles on it since I bought it 7 years ago. Obviously the engine has very few miles on it! · White with black interior. The original color was greenish blue metallic. He repainted it in white Imron. Except for a few minor flaws the body is in very good condition considering it is 40 years old (see info below). The interior is in good condition. · The black soft top is Kayline and is also in very good shape. It had a fiberglass cap but Hurricane Sandy sent a tree down on it while it was stored next to the house. · 1972 was the first year for the K-5, and was exempt from air pollution pumps and equipment. · The engine is a small block Chevy… supposedly a 350 crate engine. I can’t guarantee that it is a new engine but the previous owner said it was a new crate 350. The valve covers say 350 so I can only trust what he told me is true. I have no paperwork to prove it, but it runs great. · The transmission is a Turbo 350 automatic. · The body is in very good shape. The only visible flaws are a small paint bubble about the size of a dime in the passenger side door and some signs of rust developing on the bottom of the doors and rocker panels. See photos. The lower rear quarter panels show no sign of rust, and there are no visible signs of rust in the floors except for a small hole on the passenger side next to the door. See photo. · The truck is being sold “as is, where is” with no guarantees. I am not trying to mislead anyone about condition, but for what the reserve is, somebody is possibly going to get a real bargain. I strongly suggest looking at the vehicle before bidding, but that is your choice. Check the NADA classic vehicle price guide and bid accordingly. · A $500 PayPal deposit is required within 2 days of sale with balance due at pick up. · Please don’t let the salt destroy this sharp K-5. Contact me via eBay or call 973-809-9200 if you have questions or desire more information. I can also email additional photos if requested.
