Vehicle Detail

I don't think you'll find a better Subaru Brat in this condition! I've seen a lot of old Subarus and Brats in person and online...and most are in poor condition, missing jump seats and its seat belts, rusted out, torn interior, cracked dashboard, no history or records, etc. NOT THIS CAR! It's very original and most complete Brat I've seen and was lucky enough to discover it. I get nothing but thumbs up on this car...and many have suggested I should just park it and keep it preserved and pristine. This is clearly a rare find for a cool, cult car!I got this car 3000 miles ago, last fall. I bought it impulsively as I was just taken by its excellent condition. Anyway since then, I've been using it almost everyday...thru sun, rain, sleet and snow. I get 25-30 mpg and has not let me down. I even drive this to Vancouver BC 2-3 times a month from Seattle. It just has over 98K miles. I am the third owner. The first one owner bought it new from Carter Subaru dealership in Seattle. He had it from 1984 to 2011 and religiously maintained with dealership and one other shop...I have all the service receipts and stamped maintenance book. In seeing all his records, it looks like in 1991 after around 85000 miles, he just parked in the garage as part of his collection. Unfortunately he died in 2011 and his widow sold it to a friend who worked at local Subaru dealership. The second owner got the car going, tuned it up and buffed it for sale eventually at the dealership. This is where I saw it, drove it, got taken by it and same day traded in one of my cars, an E55 AMG for this if you would believe. When I got it, it still had it's 90s Bridgestones so I immediately put new set of Kumhos. Also took to my mechanic to inspect and it all checked out, and only thing he recommended was change the drive belts...so did that. Also bought a semi-custom car cover to protect it. Check out the additional pictures on this library: http://s1328.photobucket.com/user/claudjrh/library/Classic%20Subaru%20Brat?sort=9&page=1 and I think you will agree this is one of finest Brats you will come across.Key highlights: I have all the original manuals, stamped maintenance book, service records and even the original car sticker as you can see in pictures.I believe has all original accessories...radio, spare tire, jack, tools, mud flaps, etc. Only item not original is the front bumper guard that is removable.Excellent exterior: paint, chrome, body in great shape…a few hairline scratchs, hood dings but I touched up. Seems to be still original paint but can't be sure. Well preserved interior...almost looks new.Has jump seats in rear including adjustable head rests and seatbelts!! Has a removable carpet.T-tops work and doesn't leak. Perfect for up and coming summer.Has new Kumho tires less than 3000 miles ago and comes with semi-fit Evo 4 car cover, both I just bought after getting car.Recent tune-up, major service including new belts. Mechanically, it is in great, reliable shape...starts well even in the cold. Next service is oil-change in a couple thousand miles. To be safe, I would also change tranny and differential fluids. As it is an old car..it is not perfect and to make it one, a few little things that may need attention if you desire to get in A1 condition.A few wheel lug nuts and a couple screws on chrome trim need replacement as they have surface rust.As you can see in one of pics, there's a hole in the outpipe of muffler.Steering wheel is slightly off-center but it steers fine and doesn't affect driveability. The left high beam connector/wiring needs to be replaced as one of prongs broke. The passenger washer spray is weak; may be clogged or need new pump. Finally the pick up bed has patina of being used…has hairline surface scratches. A removable black water permeable carpet protects.Feel free to email or call at 425-443-5062 if you have any questions. This car is offered as-is condition. Inspections are welcome. Buyer is responsible for inspection and shipping fees. Upon winning, a down payment of $2000 is immediately required within 24 hours using PayPal. If you have low ebay rating or none/little ebay history please don't bid or contact me first. No flakes please as I've been through one with another car I sold in eBay a few years ago.
