This is a VERY unique wing. It has a completely custom audio system with a custom adapter housing that allows use of a normal DIN mount stereo and massive speaker enclosures that fit where the original mini storage cubby's where. The head unit is nearly new Sony marine radio with aux and USB input that supports Ipod. Also included is a Zumo 550 GPS which is one of the best motorcycle GPS units ever made. The GPS also comes with the XM radio USB antenna. This allows for satellite radio and weather (subscription required) I'm including the GPS because the speedometer can be intermittent and I've always just relied on the GPS display anyway. Heated grips work great! The paint was redone in 2007 but shows some wear. I've done my best to photograph the nicks and scrapes. The top cover has some cracks in it where the luggage rack weight limit was exceeded. We nearly had a replacement on Ebay, but got out bid at the last minute. It could be repaired or simply replaced easily enough. Bike fires right up, runs great and is VERY COMFORTABLE. This bike pulls like a mule, and is smooth as silk. I did my first Iron Butt ride on this bike, and my girl and I have ridden it coast to coast, and boarder to boarder. This bike is just waiting for it's next grand adventurer. Tires are in good shape, rear end was replaced 8,000 miles ago as was the exhaust. The spark plugs are NGK iridiums, they are lifetime plugs. The carbs where rebuilt last year, all new rubber. New fuel pump when the carbs where done. The seat is a Diamond Custom, and is a true all day tourer. On Apr-15-13 at 12:19:19 PDT, seller added the following information:I've had a number of questions regarding the alternator on this bike so I figured I would post that information right here for all to see. The alternator is stock, and has NEVER given me any issues, not one. The only "extra" on this bike beyond stock is the GPS and the heated grips. The GPS draws just over 1 amp WORST case, so no issue there. The heated grips seldom get used at full power after they get going, 3/4 setting has always been fine down to 30 degrees F. I have ridden this bike in 15 degrees F for 400+ miles, grips flat out, at night, no issues. The stereo is a modern, high end, head unit and is very efficient, much more so than the clunky old cassette deck that came standard. Again, never had a charging issue. I also never put all the lights on my bike, not my style, but if I did, they would be LED and again would not be an issue for the stock charging system. All that being said, I would be happy to install a high output alternator for the winning bidder for a modest fee, providing the new owner provides the alternator of their choice and pays in full at auction close.
