Vehicle Detail
***Attention Collectors*** Up for auction is this partially restored 1969, CL350 K-1 (2nd year) with less than 7500 original miles. Cosmetically: The inside of the fuel tank is just as clean as the outside with no fuel leaks, no signs of tank repair, no dents, no scratches anywhere, and no signs of ever being laid over. New paint on the frame, tank, fork ears, headlight bucket and side-covers! Turn signals, fenders, and under the seat all are in beautiful condition. Brand new front rim with new tires front and rear. No rust on the rear rims but it has some kind of stain that I can't get off. I have over three-thousand dollars in receipts alone that went into the restoration of this bike! The engine is completely rebuilt and runs better than NEW. Everything works as it should. This is just an unbelievable example of Honda motorcycle history as it was a breakthrough in technology and appearance! A little history on the this model; http://www.livablelandscape.org/CYCLES/350hist.htm Mechanically: Even when cold, the engine starts consistently on the first bump of the starter or second or third kick and will sit there and idle all day long! This bike screams like a Wildcat with its nuts in a trap and absolutely flies. It redlines at 10,500 RPM, will do the ΒΌ mile in 14 seconds flat, and tops out at 100 mph. Riding down the road, there are no wobbles, shimmies or shakes, the clutch is new, ther brakes are new. This baby will smoke a Triumph 650 with ease and will outrun the best 350 scramblers on the road today and will probably outlast ALL of them. The speedometer and Tach work as they should. All lights, blinkers, brake lights, horn, and everything else works as it should as well. The brakes are all good. The exhaust is as solid as they come with no surface rust on the bike side of the pipes. The fenders have a couple of scratches here and there but that just adds to the flavor of the bike-it's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I would rate the condition of this bike as very good to excellent! All shipping cost are the responsibility of the buyer! I will accept paypal only under certain conditions! The winning bidder must contact me immediately to set up payment arrangements. Once full payment is received, I will release the bike to the shipper I highly recommend going through Rocky Top transports as they are fast, inexpensive, and easy to deal with. Call owner Chris Terry for easy shipping to your doorstep! 865-221-3382. I am not desperate to sell, am not a dealer, I don't do this for a living, I'm an enthusiast. If you'd like any detailed photos of a specific area of the bike, just ask! I have many photos of it but will be glad to take more if needed. Please ask any questions you like before bidding. You will be answered quickly and honestly. I will not sugarcoat anything for the sake of a few extra dollars and am not in the business to screw anyone. With all the bikes I own or have owned over the years, I know how disappointing it is when someone over-sells a bikes condition so you may be sure I won't do that to you. I have disclosed and will gladly provide photos of all known defects for your inspection. This is an AWESOME motorcycle! You are welcome and encouraged to personally inspect the bike prior to bidding. Although this bike is sold "As Is" and "Without Warranty", I want you to be happy and I will do anything within reason to me to see that you are. Thank you and good luck! If you have any questions, please ask them now before you bid or buy! I reserve the right to end this auction at any time in order to sell this item locally as well. However, once reserve has been met, the bike will go to the highest bidder here on ebay! Good Luck! On Apr-15-13 at 14:14:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Rode the bike for 12 miles today and one of the floats seems to be sticking occasionally-just trying to be as transparent as possible here. The bike just needs to be ridden!New or OEM replacement items include but not limited to; Gaskets Chain Oil seals Rt and lt. handlebar lever Tach cable Complete new rear brakes and parts Front brakes and linkages Handlebars Mirrors Steering nut and stem Cable adjusters Air cleaner Gearshift pedal Starter, starter motor terminal, starter clutch Exhaust stars Engine seals Front end hardware Tank cleaned and lined Left side ignition coil Oil pressure switch Front spokes Rings Cam chain Piston pins O-rings Throttle and speedometer cables Speedo and tach housing New front rim Carb kits Seat hinge Exhaust gaskets Fender brackets, rubbers, and collar All new screws, washers, and bolts Rear shocks rebuilt Battery Horn Airboxes
