If your looking at this listing, you probably already know this is the first year for the bike that changed touring motorcycling for years to come. Only 5000 1975 Goldwings were built, supposedly the lowest production year made. In the 70's most owners of Goldwings loaded these bikes up with windjammer fairings, bates bags, king/queen seat etc. Not here! Here is a bike with loads of service/restoration work done totaling over $5214.18 !!! You can own for less than the money spent to bring the bike to it's current condition, although I would rather see it be appreciated and purchased for the BUY IT NOW of $5499. Once the first bid is placed, the BUY IT NOW disappears. You couldn't buy a junker and make it look and run like this bike for the Buy It Now of $5499.... I then removed the better than average Red body panels and sent a set of original Factory Honda Candy Blue/Green panels to Precisionmotorcyclepainting.com for show quality duplication of factory paint at a cost of $880.00. Please note that this beautiful color does not photograph well. The color is dead on for matching the factory Honda color, but just doesn't transfer well to the photos. Bike was painted by someone who does nothing but duplicate factory original paint, and he does it to very, very high standards! OK...do the math..... $6094.18 worth of restoration, not even including the cost of a 14,000 mile original bike....and you can buy for $5499 RIGHT NOW! Bike is titled and insured with Hagerty Insurance and was ridden at last years VJMC national convention with it's original red panels. Bike includes it's original kickstart lever in the event the battery is weak. Only thing modified as far as I know, is there are 2 little socket cap allen screws located in the middle of the handlebars. I am sure these were for an owner to mount something for convenience while riding in it's early years. Vin# of bike is GL11010924 and the engine numbers are GL1E1010645. Bike was built in 5/75. This is a Museum Quality first year Goldwing not over restored, but in exceptional condition. Why buy a junker when you can own this one that is ready to ride or show? Bike is located in Grand Rapids Mi. I can offer trailered delivery within 500 miles or so for $1.35 per mile one way, or you can pickup or arrange the carrier of your choice.
