Vehicle Detail

Let me introduce myself. I'm an old codger who belongs to the Classic Japanese Motorcycle Club and we show our bikes at various events, like the International Motorcycle shows. Former concours judge, so I am pretty fussy about my vehicles. This bike has been in three shows. Now, about this little jewel ~ It was originally sold to a San Jose businessman who sold it to one of his employees for work done. He was into cruisers and so he just stored this bike away. Eventually I found it and had to have it. I've owned it for about 3 years and I installed 4 new Iridium spark plugs, a new Gel Battery and Sea Foam fuel system cleaner. It now fires immediately and runs like a highly modified sewing machine! Specifications: * Double Overhead Cams - Four Cylinders * Weight - 450 lbs. * Seat Height - 31.1" * Footpeg Height - 13.3" (fairly high) * 6 Gears * 3 Disc Brakes * Carburetion - (2) 30mm Mikuni two barrel CV * Horsepower - 63 bhp * Rear - "Full Floater Suspension" (adjustable while riding) Performance: (July 1983 Cycle magazine): * 1/4 Mile - 12.37 seconds @ 106.88 mph * Top Speed - 124 mph * Braking Distance (from 60 mph) - 122 feet The numbers above look impressive, but what is really impressive IMHO, is how much fun this bike is to ride. It is very smooth and goes around corners like some modern sportbikes. I like the fact that there are lights on the dash that tells you if your side stand is down, and what gear your are in. The seat-to-footpegs (17.8") is fairly tight for me (5'10"), but no dragging parts. Condition: I would rate it at 9.5/10 The only reason that it is not a 10 is that there are some dots on the right lower front part of the tank that have been repainted (see photo), hard to see if you don't know where to look. The front fairing shield shows some storage wear, but nothing drastic. Otherwise, this survivor looks like it just came out of the shipping crate. Registration: Clear registration in California until July 2013. (Will send proof of ownership if requested) Shipping: This is 100% buyer's responsibility. I will assist loading at my end if needed. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and if you want to stop by and have a closer look before bidding please do so. If you want a photo of a specific part of the bike just ask and I will send it as soon as possible. Payment: At the close of the auction buyer must pay through PayPal a $500.00 deposit. The balance to be paid (cash in person if possible) or a Bank Check. The motorcycle will NOT be released until the Bank Check has cleared my bank entirely, which usually takes 10 or more working days. Questions?: Please ask any relevant questions before bidding. I want you to be 110% satisfied with this purchase. Also, if you want my phone number just ask. If you want a photo of a specific part of the bike just ask anddd I will send it as soon as possible. BTW, there is a California personal plate on the bike. This license plate and frame are NOT included in this sale. So, there you have it. Don't wait too long to bid or you might be too late . . . been there, done that. ~ BID WITH CONFIDENCE AND THANKS FOR LOOKING ~
