This 1955 Ford Customline was found in Southwestern town of Tupac, AZ. The motor is a 1971 429 with a C6 transmission that was removed from a totaled Mercury in 1971. When the car was totaled it had only 5000 miles. The removed motor was in storage for many years and then installed in this car approximately 15-20 years ago and then the car was stored indoors. Please note the pictures under the valve covers and see the factory paint still visible on the valves. The rear end is a Ford 9” from a 1970 Cougar. With very little work this car could be as the finished painted car pictured. Very straight body and only rust is the slight amount on passenger floor. Other items repaired and updated: - brakes pads, master cylinder and brake cylinders - new 3 core radiator - water pump - starter - interior - transmission filter and vacuum modulator Runs and drives good! Lots of power!
