Vehicle Detail
Up For Sale is a Solid 1965 Chevy Impala SS 327 300hp car. This car can be a driver or resto project and is wll worth saving. This car was driven daily until a few years ago and now just gets driven occasionally.Tis car has good road and traffic manors such as does not overheat and idles well. I have broken down the basic description of the categories below. Drivetrain: 327 V-8 4 brl., Holley 650 double pumper, Edelbrock aluminum Intake, HEI Distributor mated to a MSD 6AIgnition, Headers connected to true dual exhaust and Flowmster mufflers. The camshaft has been changed to a Crane .480/.280 that gives it a nice thumpy sound and the engine runs great with no smoke or oil usage. Turbo 350 automatic transmission that shifts well 12 Bolt non Posi rear with unknown gear ratio 4 Wheel non power drum brakes 14X7 American Racing Torque Thrust wheels on Radial tires that have about 75% tread Left Exterior: As you can see in the pictures the car is very straight and solid although there are some rust issues that need to be addressed to restore the car. The frame of the car is super solid and has no rust issues. The rear quarters need to be replaced with the outer rear wheel housings. I do have a passenger quarter skin that will go to the new owner of the car. The trunk floor was repaired several years ago and in my opinion to do the car right I would replace the trunk floor. The interior floor is in good condition. There are a few places on the lower door skins that need attention as well. One positive thing about this car is the doors shut like butter, silky smooth and all the glass in the car is in good condition. The front fenders are in great condition as well. To my knowledge this car has been repainted once about twenty years ago the factory color. There is rust in the rear header panel under the back panel that needs to be replaced although the inner structure of the car is solid. The hood has rust holes and I would replace that as well along with the header panel. The chrome on this car is in excellant condition and even though not installed in the pictures I have all emblems and moldings. The front and rear bumper are laser straight and in good condition. I have seen far worse cars restored and am trying to give an honest overview of this car. Interior: This car came from the factory with white bucket seats and console. It has the original seats, black carpet door panels, console and they show there age. The interior is complete with the exeption of the clock and one other gauge in the console and the rear package tray. I have installed an aftermarket am/fm/cd player mounted in the glove box that play through 6x9's in the rear deck for music. Also there is an Autometer Tach mounted to the steering column. The interior chrome is in excellant condition and would just need a good polishing. In summary this is a great piece of American history and would make anyone proud to drive or restore. Lets face the facts there not making any more of these classics!. Ive tried to give an honest description of the car and anyone can feel free to email me and ask questions. I have a Clear Florida title and car will not be released until funds are recieved. It is the buyers responsibility to pay for and arange shipping although I can deliver to a terminal close by if need be. Thanks and good luck bidding!
