Take Note America . . . Up for auction with no reserve is very rare and unique 1966 Mustang Coupe. This first generation Pony is an R code San Jose manufactured Mustang that has been basically family owned since new while only residing in the Southwest desert. She comes equipped with her straight six 200 motor that was rebuilt about forty thousand miles ago. Under her hood is many performance upgrades including a mild cam, upgraded 2BL Weber progressive carburetor, dual exhaust with hooker headers, brass valve guides, stainless steel valve seats and remote dual oil filter which increases her oil capacity to six quarts to keep her running cool. This Mustang is the perfect coupe for someone who wants to haul their other collectable Mustangs around for she has a receiving hitch in the back and can pull anything. Her rims are American Racing turbines with like new tread all around that looks great. For her suspension a large anti-sway bar was added both front and back plus neoprene bushings in all areas. She has gas shocks and handles extremely well on any road surface imaginable. This coupe can be used for so many different purposes including just pure fun of course. Her body overall is very dry with just a little amount of rust on her bottom outside panels but very small indeed and her passenger side rear quarter has a dent in her. This coupe has an A/C compressor under her hood that is not currently hooked up or connected but also goes with the Mustang in this sale. Chrome is nice and the glass is good. If you are looking for something to tinker around with this six cylinder juiced up hot rod just might do the trick. Her exterior has been repainted once but in her original tan color and her upholstery has Recaro like racing high back bucket seats to keep you in place. She is not a show car obviously but a lot of money was invested not counting time involved to get her this way. A lot of Mustang for the money just the way she sits today. She starts right up and drives out with a lot more power than your average six and should sell this week or sooner so call with any questions if you are serious because not too many coupes are set up like this one here.
