A 1948 Chevy Stylemaster, with 65,000 miles, on original 216 OHV with three speed column shift. The vehicle has been restored, by owner to original condition, not a frame off restoration because the underbody was in great shape. There was minor surface rust that was cleaned primed and painted. The floor pans, rockers, and inner fenders are all free of rust or damage. After sanding the body to the bare metal and the priming, (no bondo or evidence of accident damage on body) a fresh base coat of black paint, then clear coat was applied. Not show room quality, New seat upholstery, front and back, new door panels, also new headliner. New carpet on floors and rubber on rockers. Not show room quality. Dash and gauges are original and in good working order. Interior window trim could be re-wood grained. The radio is original and works. Brakes have been done in the back with new parts and the front are in good working order as well. Tires are sufficient for local driving, but should be replaced for longer rides or touring. Front grill is painted silver because of the price of rechroming (appx. $1,500.00) Front and rear bumpers are in excellent shape. Side body moldings have a few small dents that could be made perfect. The hood emblem is in good shape. The trunk has been primed and painted black with new mat installed. New parts include: Headlights, rear bulbs, gaskets for the valve cover, side cover, oil pan, water pump, hoses for the heater, radiator, and oil pump, spark plugs, points, oil filter. Rebuilt parts: Carburetor, starter, and generator. The engine compartment has been detailed along with the engine. Looking for a new owner who wants a solid driver that isn't over restored. Car shows like a one owner, well cared for. I also have various additional parts for the car that I'm willing to part with on its sale.
