Thanks for looking at my listing. Here I have for sale my 1947 Ford Convertible. It is a very solid old car. that's why I started on it. There's a little rust though on the driver's side floor at the A-post and a hole under the passenger side of the rear seat about the size of a fist. Not a huge repair. Does not need full pans. Has cut down coupe doors, but I have a set of factory convertible doors that go with the car. the windshield frame has been chopped 3 inches. I was going to buy an old convertible cowl, or coupe cowl and fill in the door jambs to match the convertible frame, in order to put it back to normal. I do not have a full set of top irons for the car. I do have a partial set. No cross bows, only partial side irons. the body is pretty solid other than the front clip needs some slight rust hole/dent work. It's now powered by a Y-block motor mated to the original 3-speed trans. It des have a later model 9 inch rear with an open drive, so a good start to an auto swap if you want. Has factory straight axle up front, but has a simulated transverse single leaf spring suspension out back. Car runs, moves, and stops on its own and can be driven onto a trailer. It WILL need to be hauled. Cannot be driven on the street as it is not yet complete enough. This a very solid beginning to a very high dollar car. priced accordingly. I have just gone in a different direction in the way of projects. I would be willing to consider trades for other vehicles. Just ask. Now...here is the legalities....I require a non-refundable $1000 deposit within 24 hours of auction end. The remaining balance will need to be made by -wire transfer or check. All checks will be cleared through my bank before the title or car is released. Cash payment can be made, and is preferred, by arrangement at pick-up of car.
