Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1970 Triumph GT6+. It is a project, as you can see. It had plenty of rust a couple of months ago. I was able to cut the majority out. With the car will be supplied the major repair panels where the rust has been cut out. Those include, left and right front floor sections, left and right rockers, both rear lower quarters, and left and right rear wheel arch sections. I have the gas tank in my storage unit, with filler cap and the seats. The tank is in very good condition, but could stand to be boiled out. Rear bumpers are in storage as well. I thought I had them in the car when I pulled it out of storage to take pics. I stripped the interior out, as it was not worth saving, and to get a good idea of what other issues may be lurking. The dash and wiring was left alone. I was able to get the car running fairly easily, as it has been sitting for the last 5 years. Last registered and on the road in 2007. The carbs will need a cleaning, but the engine sounded very sweet. No smoke, rattles, or any funny noises. Sounded great coming from that Monza exhaust. I was not able to drive the car, as the brakes and clutch hydraulics need work. I tested what I could of the electrical system. Seemed like everything worked. Flashers, lights, blower, etc. The wiring doesnt look like it has been compromised at all. I did wire in a $10 ignition switch to get the car running. Transmission shifts throught the gears and feels tight with no slop in the gear change mechanism. Great car for someone who has the time. My reserve is low, just what I have in the car. Comes with clean, clear California Pink. Please ask questions. Im sure I've left something out. For the winning bidder: Bring a trailer. The car comes with some extras: A complete bonnet, as the one on the car is not worth saving. It's got bondo everywhere. I have a spare from my other GT6 that I will let go with the car. Also comes with mirrors, weather stripping, and tons of loose change rolling around on the floor boards. The car is in my storage unit, I will be glad to assist in the loading/shipping of this car where I can. The cost, of course, is up to you. I would like full payment within 5 business days of the auctions end, with a $200 non-refundable paypal deposit. The remainder can be in cash, in person, or by cashiers check. A cashiers check is subject to a 5 day hold through my bank, so plan accordingly. Best of luck!
