History: I purchased this '96 Honda Civic from a family member in 2006 and am the second owner. It was my daily driver until the engine started losing power last year. I had a compression test done and test result showed cylinder 2 had low compression, possibly indicating valve damage. I decided to remove the head with intent of replacing the valves, but once I removed the head I realized I did not have time to finish the repair. One estimate I received for the valve job was $250, not including reinstallation of head, gaskets, etc. I have all of the parts (see pics) as well as new timing belt and timing belt component kit. Other History: Around 2007 the clutch started slipping so I had the transmission rebuilt. During the last 1.5 years I have replaced every component in the A/C system with new or refurbished components (summers are pretty hot in Houston). The car has been on several cross country trips which has contributed to the high milage. Up until the recent engine trouble it has been a very dependable vehicle (it's a Civic). Condition: Vehicle is used. Motor is disassembled and appears to need valve replacement. Chassis and motor have 230k plus miles. Body has multiple dings, scratches and dents. Paint is faded and clear coat is pealing in multiple areas. Rear windows are tinted but are starting to get bubbles. Tires are Michelins with moderate wear and are in fair condition. Rims are in good condition. Full size spare with same premium rim, also in good condition. Driver side window occasionally comes off track. Interior is in very good condition for mileage. New muffler. Features: CD Player with removable face, premium rims, clean interior for its mileage. Engine is a VTEC-E. Comes with full size spare and premium rim. Chassis has been lowered. This was likely the accident that required repair to the rear right quarter panel. I vaguely remember this happening when my brother owned the car. I do not recall it being anything serious or major. He always carried full coverage and was very meticulous about the exterior. The paint on this quarter panel is also much nicer than the paint on the rest of the car, which is visible in the pictures.
