Take Note America . . . Up for auction with a low reserve is a very unique and classy 1939 Packard 120 Super Deluxe Sedan. This vintage piece of American motor history is truly special in so many ways. She has survived the test of time and still stands tall without hesitation. Miles and drivetrain are both believed to be original with her flat six motor under the hood and automatic on the column. Her body is very straight with the stunning exaggerated front fenders and rear hump back slope with the rare split window design. The lines are smooth and her undercarriage is dry. The running boards look to be original with some patina but for her age nothing unusual whatsoever. Her glass all around is clean with just one pane having a crack up front. Her interior is very nice with her original dash with all the ornate appointed trim that looks great. The seats have been redone in a tan cloth with simulated ostrich that looks rather sharp. The door skins, headliner and sun visors are believed to still be original and in decent shape. The carpet is new and the rear passenger foot rest, ashtrays and pull rope are all in place. She is still a six volt system and she runs and drives very nice. Her wide white walls are like new all around and she still has her factory Packard hubcaps. Her front headlamps are in excellent shape and the Goddess Of Speed hood ornament still looks great. Inside her dry trunk compartment is extra trim, parts and pieces all included with the sale of this Packard. First and for most her undercarriage is super dry and her body has no rust. You will be hard pressed to find a drier Packard circa 1939 anywhere. The metal is very clean. Her paint is nice all around with just some lacquer checking on the rear trunk compartment lid. All her factory gauges actually work and she had her gas tank recently flushed out and her rear end professionally rebuilt. She is not a show winner but simply a straight old classic that everyone can't help but simply want to sit inside of while asking lots of questions.
