2000 GMC 2500 Sierra - with Meyers/Western Snow Plow This truck was purchased out of Michigan. The guy used it for long road trips, thus the high miles. We bought it to add to our landscape company fleet in 2008. We added the snow plow to the truck. It is a Meyers / Western combo. It has a Meyers subframe/pump and then a Western Blade. We found that used Western blades hold up better then Meyer blades. The pump is a Meyers E-47. The blade is a 7.6' and has a newer cutting edge. Lots of life left on it. There are "Slick Stick" plow controls in the cab. There is a wire harness run for a western swing away box spreader. It can be retro-fitted for any spreader. One of the head lights is dim on the truck, most likely a loose control module wire though the Meyers light harness system. Its not been irritating enough for us to chase down the issue. I'm certain that is the reason though. The truck is Blue in color. It has the extended cab and also the long 8’ bed. It is 4-wheel drive and an automatic transmission. It has 285,600 miles on it. It comes with the 6.0 Liter V8 Gasoline engine in it. It is the 4-door cab. The tires are at approx 50% or better. Appear to have a lot of tread life left on them. No Spare. The Air Conditioner and the Heater BOTH work. The 4-Wheel Drive works just like it is supposed to in ALL ranges. There are numerous scratchs, mostly around the bed of the truck from lifting tools and materials in and out of the bed. Its been a work truck. If you need a "work" truck, this is it. Its not a take the family on vacation truck. There is a large dent on the rear passenger fender well from one of the guys jackknifing a trailer into it. The rear of the truck is pretty ragged. Plenty of dents and the tailgate is operational if you know the trick. What Chevy/GM tailgate isnt this way. It has been dented several places so, be advised. The handle to open the rear jump door on the driver side is broken, we use the passenger side. The interior is gray cloth. There are no tears or rips in any of the seats. Maybe a small hole, but its in relatively good condition. The rims are 16" chrome not painted steel. The truck runs. It has a lower engine knock that comes and goes as you rev the engine. Its louder at idle then while driving. The most receipt repair was a new battery and tie rod ends this past July/2011. Its high miles, I don't know what to add. It runs for us everyday. We plow snow with it, pull loaded trailers with it, and work the truck. She has served us well. Just time to get some newer stuff. Plow works, Left, Right, Up and Down as it should. The truck drives forward and reverse as it should and shifts through the gears as it should. I try to candy coat nothing! This is a WORK truck. It will work for you as this.
