THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! Just in time for the summer, this auction is for a REALLY sweet 1969 Honda Z50A Mini Trail, VIN 157177. This is not a perfect museum piece, but HAS been painstakingly restored with lots of TLC. To start with, the engine has been totally rebuilt (bored first over, new piston and rings, valve job, automatic clutch totally gone through and adjusted, new points, engine cases and head beadblasted, all new seals and gaskets, etc) by a factory trained Honda mechanic with over 40 years of experience. You will actually have to BREAK THIS ENGINE IN (I’ve put about 10 minutes on the bike since rebuild)! The following have been replaced with either NOS or reproduction parts: steering bearings, seat cover, ignition switch (with 2 keys), fork gaiters, headlight bulb, battery and strap, spark plug, drive chain, kickstand, dimmer switch, and of course, fresh oil. The following HARD TO FIND original parts are still on this bike: air cleaner, complete headlight and taillight assemblies, gas tank badges, chainguard, exhaust heat shield, battery box and rectifier, and factory muffler assembly. Mechanically, brakes work very well, automatic clutch is excellent, gearbox shifts great all through three gears, all lights work. Carb was completely rebuilt, bike starts on first or second kick and idles nicely. This little critter will pop first gear wheelies easily if you want to. Cosmetically, there is some minor wear and tear, as to be expected – call it PATINA. The white spots in the photos are reflections. Since there is no speedometer the mileage is unknown. Fenders are nice. There is some slight acid staining on the chainguard. One handlebar tightening knob is missing, the other appears frozen (as most of these are – poor original design, who folds them down anyway?) Tires have some life left, but will need replacement eventually. The bike HAS been repainted, as close to factory colors as available. The gas tank is all original, very solid, clean and rust free inside, and was sealed for extra measure. This bike is all complete, here is a chance for you to OWN HISTORY! This bike deserves a great home to a young child hankering for his first bike, an old kid wanting to relive his youth, or someone wanting a REALLY cool ORIGINAL pit bike. We try to accurately describe the shortcomings, but look at the photos and ask questions before bidding. Don’t bid if you intend to negotiate afterward; that is not how eBay works. I will provide a Bill of Sale if you would like one, there is no title. There aren’t a lot of these around anymore, so don’t miss your chance to own one! SHIPPING: Buyers to pay and arrange for shipping and crate, if necessary. Seller is willing to take bike to Sacramento, CA. for shipping via ForwardAir.com or other carrier of your choice, in Sacramento for $75.00 additional fee to cover our fuel and time. If you use Forward Air, they require you to supply 4 tie down straps and 2 combination locks. Please be prepared to provide this or whatever your shipper needs in order to secure your bike. Since this is a mini-motorcycle, you can actually use Forward Air’s smaller box, which costs less. Buyer can also pick up bike in Grass Valley, CA. Shipper damage coverage may be additional – check with the carrier you use! Please email me with any questions. I accept payment via PayPal – which takes Visa and MC. A $200 non-refundable deposit must be received in 2 days. Full payment must be received within 7 days. Serious inquiries only. Buy with confidence!
