1961 Triumph TR3 Roadster!!! Here is a great Triumph TR3 roadster that is in excellent condition and is great fun to drive!!! The Triumph TR3 is the iconic British sports car with its big swooping fenders, low cut doors and a focus on the driving experience. These cars remind us of a time when driving wasn't just about getting from point A to point B or even how fast you got there, but the journey and experience along the way. This is a great car that runs great and is an absolute blast to drive. The strong running 4 cylinder engine emits the classic British sports car sound and with the low cut doors and combined with an open top, makes every driving experience a special one. This beautiful TR3 looks great in its classic red finish over a black trimmed interior. The beautiful wire wheels really give this car that quintesential british sports look. This is a beautiful car but it isn't so over restored that you are afraid to drive it!!! Click to enlarge Exterior: The gorgeous Red paint has recently been applied and has been hand rubbed to a beautiful finish and the body is laser straight. The big swooping body work is in very nice shape and is rust free. The cars exterior is complemented with the gorgeous bright polished grill and wire wheels. This car is as good looking in person as it is in the photos. The paint job was a high quality job and the car was completely disassembled when it was last painted. The chrome front bumper is in very nice condition and the rear bumperettes are good condition for being original. You could easily take it to your local weekend car show and show it with pride. This car gets attention EVERYWHERE you go in it!!! It truly is in great condition. Click to enlarge Interior: The beautiful black trimmed seats are in nice shape and look great. All of the gauges on the dash are in working order and the beautiful large wheel feels great in your hands. All of the lights, turn signals, horn, wipers etc are all in great working order. The coolant gauge has been replaced with a more modern gauge and is more accurate than the original Jager gauge. These cars are very basic and this car does not have a radio. The car does come with a full toneau cover (cockpit cover) convteritble top in nice shape, and brand new side curtains still retaining the protective film over the sliding windows. Sitting behind the wheel of the car is a great place to spend the weekend and this car offers a very unique driving experience that few cars can match. Overall the interior is in very nice condition. Click to enlarge Engine: This Triumphs 4-cylinder engine revs smoothly and provides plenty of power and torque for the lightweight body and chassis. One of the best things about this car is the sound it makes, it is the classic British sports car sound track that many of us have come to love. The engine starts right up and runs like a top. The engine doesn't blow any oily smoke while idling or driving. The cylinder head was recently completely rebuilt. The car runs great and never misses a beat. The 4 speed transmission shifts nice and smooth through every gear. The clutch has plenty of bite and is not in need of replacement. The brake master and the clutch master were recently rebuilt giving the cars brakes and the clutch "good feel." The cooling system was recently gone through consisting of an aluminum radiator, electric fan, water pump and thermostat. The suspension has also recently been gone through with new bushings etc... and the car tracks straight and true. The car runs beautifully in the desert heat and has recently completed a 100 mile journey without skipping a beat. Everything works, from the lights, to wipers... everything works.
