Vehicle Detail

1964 Chrysler 300 You are bidding on a very rare Chrysler 300 “Silver”. I have been told from several Chrysler 300 enthusiasts and club members that there are only 49 letter cars known to exist, and for the non-letter cars like this one, less than that number are known to be in existence! This is a RARE car indeed. These were a mid year model the "Silver 300," a "spring special” two-door hardtop with black leather/vinyl interior, matching "Landau" vinyl roof, and silver paint. These were 4 passenger cars with bucket seats and console with shifter, something not often seen in the 300. This car is an unrestored classic that runs and drives fantastic that you can drive and enjoy. Restored, the Silver 300 can sell in the $25-40k range. The price guides add 25% for Silver Edition to the normal 300 price. This Chrysler has something else a collector will want, ORIGINAL PAPERWORK! This 300 was originally bought by Charles Baker of Baltimore Maryland April of 1964 and retains the original Window Sticker, Certicard and Certicard Papers including personal letter from P.N Buckminster, VP and General Manager of Chrysler, Original Owner’s Manual with VIN Stamped on Cover, Original 1964 Operating Instructions Manual, Delivery Acknowledgement Card, Receipt of Deposit, Hand Written Price Worksheet, Notice of Insurance Binder Slip, and Certified Mail Envelope addressed to Mr. Baker from Foulke’s Chrysler Plymouth of Essex Maryland, the selling dealership. Also we were told it stayed in the same family most, of its life. This is a very special car needing the right collector who will appreciate it for what it is and its collectability. This appears to be a real solid car. The nice thing about these original unrestored cars is you know exactly what you have because nothing is hidden. The body is in good condition. The paint has some cracking and is a little faded from age. The roof vinyl is OK but showing age. The stainless trim is in great condition and is very nice. The chrome is original. The interior is original. The door panels are nice. The carpet is in good shape. The dash is in very nice condition including the gauge bezel. She has full gauges – 120mph Speedometer, Temperature, Oil, Clock, Fuel and in the console a Performance Indicator. The headliner is in real nice condition. The original bucket seats and rear seat will eventually need to be redone but are useable as is. Inside the trunk is in nice shape with the original spare tire and jack still in place. This Chrysler is powered by a great running 413/360hp V8. It fires right up and idles well. It has dual exhaust with a nice mellow tone. Under the hood is very clean and detailed. The automatic transmission shifts well. This car features power steering and power brakes and is an easy car to drive. The suspension feels nice and it goes down the road very well and is a pleasure to drive. This is a car you can get in and cruise the night away just the way you see it. Overall, this is a super cool 1964 Chrysler 300 Silver Edition that has everything a car collector would want. It’s a rare car with limited numbers known to be in existence, it has tons of original paperwork including the most important Window Sticker and Certicard. You can drive it and use it as is or restore it. If I had more garage space, I would love to buy this one for myself. I really enjoyed driving it and I have always liked the way these 64’s look.
