GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Hardtop VIN - VC37F123120 Chevy 350 Engine Weiand 4:71 Super Charger 700R4 Transmission Ford 9" Rear End 4 Wheel Power Disc Brakes Power Steering w/ 605 Box AM/FM Cassette Radio Ididit Tilt Column Vintage Air & Heat Eagle Alloy Wheels March Brackets & Pulleys Griffin Aluminum 4 Core Radiator Electric Fan Much More! This is one of those cars that has all the goodies to make it fun to drive wrapped up in a beautiful 57 Bel Air body. This car was built about 10 years ago and still shows well today with only 7,100 miles since being worked over. This was a body on restoration since it started with a very clean original car, very minor blemishes and shows as well as it runs. The car did sit in the owners garage for the last two years because he wasn't able to drive it but it was started on a regular basis and had Stabil in the fuel. It had the oil changed before being brought to me, it needed an ignition module and had a fuel line leak repaired. I replaced the left valve cover gasket because it was leaking and tightened up some clamps on the trans cooler lines that were loose. The coolant was changed and I changed the oil and filter again just to make sure it is ready to be driven by the new owner. I crawled around the underside, inside and topside to get a good look at the car. This car started out as a very clean car, suspect it was from CA originally based on the condition but unsure. The underside shows original undercoating throughout and only a couple of small spots of rust on the lowest part of the rear wheel housings, at the lowest part behind the wheels. No other rust issues were seen while I had it on the rack. There are a couple of blisters on the lower doors up front and a small crack on the left wheel opening by the brace from the tire bumping it. The paint shows well other than those issues and you have to get right down on them to see so they wouldn't be an issue for immediate attention. The engine was built with the purpose of having the super charger installed so this is only a 9 to 1 compression engine. the whole drive train has only 7,100 miles on it and you can see how clean everything is in the pictures. The 700R4 transmission has a shift kit from the way it shifted when I drove it and it's a stage 1 for a crisper shift. The engine has HEI ignition, chrome short water pump, Edelbrock Competition series carb, ceramic coated headers, March brackets and pulleys with a serpentine belt. There are lots of billet and chrome parts to dress up the engine compartment. I didn't get to detailing everything under the hood but it will polish up very nice under there. The steering was upgraded to a 605 box so it has true power steering. The steering parts all look in good shape underneath, the only thing I would add is an anti-sway bar for better around corner handling. it has rear air shocks so you can get the desired look as for stance. The interior looks very nice, very original in appearance. The gauges all work, there are temp and oil pressure gauges under the dash. The headliner is nice as are the door panels and carpeting. The dash look very nice and the tilt column adds ease of entry as well as better position while driving, it has a Budnick steering wheel. All the gauges appear to be working as well as the speedo and odometer. The radio works but I didn't get the fan to work for the A/C, I will have that fixed in the next couple of days as it's probably a fuse. The glass is all in good shape, the back glass is tinted darker and I did see a couple of light scratches on the back window. This is a very nicely put together car and still leaves you a few details so you can personalize it, the best part is it didn't start out as an all new sheet metal car because it was rusted out. I think I covered everything but probably missed something so ask questions. I have plenty of additional pictures and a complete list of all the upgraded items on the car, send your email along if you want to see them. There is no Buy-It-Now, if you want to bypass the bidding on this auction please make an offer I can submit to the owner of the car to be considered. The reserve was set using comparable sales from auctions and private sales from all over the country, condition was factored into this as well as options on the car. Please don't ask what the reserve is as it's not fair to the other bidders in the auction. The owner of the car is not interested in any trades, he has new interests he is pursuing. I can assist with arranging shipping to your location or make recommendations for shipping, of course it can be driven home if you choose and the winning bidder will receive a clear title. Please let me know any questions you have. This car can be viewed or inspected in person by appointment, it is located in my shop here in Fresno, CA. Terms and Conditions Of The Auction The winning bidder agrees to provide a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction, the balance is due within 10 days.
