Vehicle Detail

1995 Volkswagen Cabrio Wolfsburg black convertible 5 speed. Lots of new parts installed including: valve cover gasket, PCV valve and hose assembly, NG case, spark plugs, drivers front wheel barren and spindle with ABS ring, two lock cylinders and internal door handle parts both doors. We also replaced the transmission with a transmission from a donor car that had 112k miles. Mechanically the car drives and runs great!! The top was replaced about three years ago by the previous owner. The top recently got a small tear toward back that was repaired yesterday. (See picture) The two rear tires are almost new, two front in newer condition. The drivers seat has fabric damage,( See picture). There is some scrapes above passenger rear tire (see picture). Sometimes the speedometer and tachometer don't work, but that is very common with older VWs. (Most of time they do work) I have a clear GA title in hand. Please do not bid if you do not have money. Winning bidder is required to pay $ 250 deposit through PayPal within two hours of auction end. If the deposit is not received, the bid will cancelled and offered to next highest bidder. Car must picked up within three days of auction end. If you need more time, we can talk before you bid. If you decide to have car shipped, you should arrange and pay for shipping. However, local pick up preferred. On Mar-13-13 at 18:44:35 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE TO DESCRIPTION....I SAW WHERE THE VEHICLE FAILED EMISSIONS IN SEPT OF 2012 (prior owner) according to the auto check report. I am confident that the repairs That were made to the car since i purchased it should have resolved that issue. I will visit the emission station here in town either tomorrow or Friday to get it rechecked. I will post on the auction the results ASAP. If it passes I will email the copy of the passing certificate if someone needs to see it. I don't know how long it takes to update in auto check. Keep checking back for results of the retest. ThanksOn Mar-15-13 at 18:04:04 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE ON EMISSIONS...I took it in today and it failed again....just slightly though. BUT this time is passed all but one area which is "NO ppm". So the repairs I made prior to this test did help but just not quite good enough yet. So I asked the guy what do most people do to fix this issue and he said just clean the egr valve. I will take off the egr tomorrow (Saturday) and inspect it and clean if it is clogged. I will update the auction tomorrow with what I found and if it will pass after the egr is cleaned. Stay tuned, I am determined to get it to pass. We are almost there. I also changed the oil filter today. Thanks On Mar-18-13 at 15:57:05 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!!! GREAT NEWS!! it passed emissions today and is running even better. After cleaning and reinstalling the EGR valve I decided to also replace some vacuum lines. So, I dont know how long it takes for the carcheck report to refresh( and number to go up) but if anyone needs my passing emission certificate emailed to them just let me know. Now many of you can bid up and win!!!!! Talk with you later and good luck.On Mar-20-13 at 05:12:00 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTENTION BIDDERS READ THIS UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I backed the car out of the garage last night and noticed that the A/C compressor was on but the air was not cold. I looked and the compressor is in fact turning and no wierd noises....dont know what is wrong but heat works good. and the passenger power window switch was acting up. probably a faulty window switch because it will roll down you just have to keep messing with it. But the window motor seems fine. Good Luck and email if you have any questions. Thanks
