7-Day Auction....NO RESERVE. REAL DEAL. Numbers Matching 1972 Dodge Challenger 340. Factory (FE5) Bright Red/ Rally Red, 340 4BBL, Factory Rally Hood, Factory A/C with Buckets and Console Challenger. This was from the factory a Super Rare Color Combination with the Rally Red, White Vinyle Top and Black Interior. Currently the same but without the Vinyle top. This Challenger has her Original Engine, Transmission, Rear Axle, Manifolds and Intake. This is a Rare Factory Air Conditioning Car (H51), AC Blows Cold, Original Radio Works. This is a Great Factory Optioned Challenger 340 and the Fender Tag Options show; Console with Buckets, A/C, Power Front Disc Brakes, 72 Electric Ignition, Duel Exhaust with Duel Chrome Tips and much more (see pic). This Challenger was a restored about 5 years ago, she started as a great original Survivor. Everything was gone through including the drivetrain, electrical and suspension. Starts, drives and stops excellent. Steering is right on with no slack, sounds great, shifts great and brakes work perfect. I’m not saying this is a museum quality car, she has a few touched-up rock chips and she was an original vinyl top car so close to the trim on the roof there are a few issue spots (see pics). If a white vinyl top was put back on her, she would be just about the way she was born. If you’re looking for a great Numbers matching real 340 Challenger, very original car....this is it. I have driven this car for about a 100 miles and would honestly get in this car and drive her anywhere. The 70K miles on the odometer is said to be original, but she has less than 3K miles since restoration. She has rear air shocks and sits up more in the back when aired up.
