Vehicle Detail

This is a USA spec 1998 Superhawk 996 cloned to a European Firestorm VTR. I bought this about a year ago with a bad engine to utilise as a parts bike for a wrecked one I had. After completing the other bike, I decided to build this one for myself. The engine had suffered a CCT failure, so it recieved NOS Honda pistons, rings, bearings and gaskets. The front cylinder head was also replaced with a low mileage replacement, and Kreiger manual CCT's were installed. The jetting was set-up to HRC specs as per www.superhawkforum.com. The front end got new "All-Ballz" fork seals and Motul 7wt oil set at 140mm. Calipers and rotors were detailed and got new Vesrah pads, and the rims were stripped and recoated with titanium epoxy paint, as well as new Continental tires front and rear date coded 7/12. I also installed "All-Ballz" tapered head bearings, packed with moly grease and set to spec. The tank is NOS Honda from www.davidsilverspares.co.uk in England, it's been out of the box for less than two weeks now. Bodywork is replica replacement bodywork with NOS decals also from David Silver Spares. The rear suspension was completely dismantled, detailed, and serviced prior to being installed as well. The exhaust is by Scorpion, which I fitted from an R1 Yamaha using the Scorpion link pipes for the VTR. This was done as the cans are 2" shorter than what they sell for this model so it sounds/ looks awesome. Plus they have a unique "turn-in" at the outlets to set it apart from the crowd. To make a long description short, every component on this bike was gone through and fully detailed and serviced. The brake/clutch fluid was replaced with Valvoline synthetic, battery is a new fiberglass mat type, and so on. I have more hours and more money in this than I care to think about, but I must sell it as my tax return is very short of where I need to be. As I mentioned, I didn't build this to sell, I built it because I love VTR's and always wanted one of the "Firestorm" versions from the UK in this color. I guess it's a love-it-or-hate-it color, but I bet you won't get lost in a sea of red and black sportbikes! I just finished this up and have put a grand total of 11 miles on it to make shure everything is ready to go. Be advised that the engine isn't broke-in, the tires aren't run in, and the brakes haven't been bedded in, this bike is "as-new" in all respects. Bike is located in Aurora IN, 47001, pick-up is preferred but I have a shipping dock if you have a shipper to pick up. I just added a picture of the one that I "cloned", from the double bubble windscreen to the carbon fiber "fenda extenda", anyways I put it up so you can see what the color looks like in better light. Accepting best offer. If interested let me know and I can change the buy-it-now price. I absolutely must sell this!!
