Vehicle Detail
This is a 95%Rust Free California Vehicle1965 Ford F-100 FLARESIDE / STEPSIDEPICKUP TRUCK Up for sale is my 1965 Ford F100 Stepside/ Flairside pickup. The pickup has just under 85,000 original miles. The engine is original and is a straight 6 cylinder with the original automatic transmission. The transmission was rebuilt within the last couple hundred miles per the prior mechanic. This vehicle use to belong to the State of California, Note the State Of California Eureka for Official Use Only, stickers on the driver’s door. It was used in Stockton on the grounds of the California Youth Authority since 1965. As you can see the original color was Ford Orange, it pretty much matches the Grabber Orange Ford used on the early Mustangs. This would be a great restoration project to own and later show with a Grabber Orange Mustang. I have provided a lot of pictures for you to view. The truck is pretty much rust free except for your typical surface rust on suspension parts and bare metal parts. I have not found any rust rot through anywhere. This truck is a simple no frills truck. It has no radio and the dash was never cut for a radio or anything else. The bench seat has no rips in the material. The original seat belts are present and are located under the seat, you can see one set sticking out from the seat. The pickup bed’s wood is obviously rotted away. The original metal rails are present in the bed and a piece of plywood is now covering the rotted wood and metal rails. (see pictures) The spare tire carrier for the side mount is missing but the metal support is attached to the inside side wall of the truck. The original driver’s side mirror appears to have been replaced at one time. The truck runs and drives well and has very good tire tread. Again it is very hard to find a RUST FREE 1965 F100 Pickup Stepside / Flairside truck with less than 85,000 miles and having the original engine with an original Automatic transmission. This truck would be an easy restoration project to turn back to its original specs or customize it and put a V8 engine in it. Inspections prior to auctions end is not a problem and is encouraged.
