I am selling my 1974 AMC AMX Javelin due to financial problems. I have owned this car for the past 10 years and put alot of time, sweat and money into this car.It is currently not in driving condition, and I don't have the time or money to work on it anymore. I think the problem is simply the torque converter. Was running great before the torque converter went out. The transmission was rebuilt a little over a year ago by a reputable transmission shop. It was only driven on the weekends and very little when it was. The car starts and sounds great. The engine is a strong 360 5.9 liter V8 with ceramic-coated Hooker Headers, and 4 barrel Carburetor. Has a new MSD Distributor and had some front end work done right before the transmission rebuild. Tranny is Torqueflight 727 3-speed automatic. Power steering, power brakes. No A/C. Have some extra parts to continue with restoration. (original steering wheel, extra Dashboard, interior and exterior trim, new weatherstripping, fan shroud.) The body is straight, but needs a little tlc. No visible rust. Car is painted flat black, NOT black primer. This would be a great project car for anyone who has the time and desire to finish. I just want someone to appreciate this car as much as I did and would love to see it brought back to it's former glory. Serious offers only please. Price is negotiable..Thanks for looking.
