Vehicle Detail
1968 Plymouth Roadrunner Coupe with a 426 Hemi. Car was original Buffed Silver Roadrunner with column shift automatic. So I can drive this one and enjoy it without having to worry about being a numbers matching Hemi that cant be enjoyed. Exterior is extremely nice HEMI Orange paint with pearl and metalflake in the paint. Six pack style fiberglass hood with hinges. Has a custom 8bbl decal. Riding on awsome chrome REV wheels and Indy 500 Firehawk Tires. Interior. Nice stock black bench seats with black headliner, carpet and door panels. Column shift. Small Sun tach and oil pressure gauge with voltmeter. Just redone the heater box with new heater core and all new seals. All new wiring. Underhood: 1966 426 Hemi from a Dodge Charger with an Eagle crank and rods topped with Keith Black Pistons 10.5:1 with less than 100 miles since freshened, large headers and large pipes thru high flow mufflers and mated to stock type tailpipe ends. Still mated to its 727 Automatic with 4.56 SureGrip Posi unit. Has bolt on driveshaft loop. I just put in a brand new fuel tank with new 3/8" Hemi factory type fuel line with 1/4" return line from factory vapor separator. Intake is factory Mopar Dual Quad topped with two new Edelbrock carbs with a fiberglass repop air cleaner and K&N air filter. All new Hemi electrical wiring throughout the entire car with updated electronic Ignition with Orange Box. Everything works throughout the vehicle with the exception of the windshield wipers. I had to update the wiper motor to the three speed motor and haven't located a three speed dash switch yet to complete the conersion after adding the factory type aircleaner. The bad: When I got the car it had the battery in the trunk and it had leaked and caused a small paint issue in the trunk pan that I haven't corrected yet. It is covered by the rubber trunk mat and not visible, but it needs corrected. I got two other 426 cars, a 64 Dodge Polara 500 and a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere, both wedge 4speed cars and I always wanted a HEMI car but now I'm wanting to do something different and this car just needs to get out of the garage and quit taking up space. So here's someone a chance to own an awsome 426 HEMI car you can drive and enjoy or take to car show's whatever you choose to do it will do it all. Some of the pics are from a Halloween photo shoot from last October and the car has been feautred in a video from a local car show.
