Vehicle Detail

I purchased the bike new from the importer as they were trying to set up a dealer network, and have owned it since. This two stroke was built in Germany (East) as a basic motorcycle for the common man, it is sometimes called "The Poor Man's BMW". This bike has many unusual features sutch as, the drive chain and gears are totaly enclosed and out of the weather, the engine is hung from the frame with vibration reducing motor mounts, and the rear wheel is removed like that of an automobile leaving the chain and drive gear in place untouched. The Hugon Lexan fairing was added soon after I got the bike, and makes riding a relaxing joy, and gives the bike a striking look. Last summer after sitting in the garage for many years I went through it cleaning, polishing, re chroming, replacing much of the original hardware with metric SS hardware, and some repainting. All MZ TS-250's left the factory with drab gray fenders, a matching red accent strip was painted on to dress the bike up. This bike does not fail to turn heads among other riders where ever I go.
