In 2001 it was refurbished by a Mechanic in Pomona who was an expert on Impalas and had refurbished many police force fleets. It has been garage kept its whole life. It has a upgraded stereo with sub-woofer and the floors have been lined with a metal mat for acoustics and noise reduction. It is fully tinted.
