Hello, Here is a crazy little vehicle that basically underscores the follies of Mankind and why this world might be doomed...... Just kidding.... This trike used to be in service at the world famous FAMOSO RACE TRACK IN BAKERSFIELD, CAILF. A track known for the upcoming March Meet, held every year which features old-school and classic drag racing. I have little history on this piece other than it is about 20 - 30 years old, and was used at Famoso as a pit bike. I just took it out of storage and didn't clean it up or dust it off, on top of photographing it at the worst possible time of day, and I apologize for both but am on a time constraint. The 10th photo down below is closer to true color. The trike was made to look like a scaled down Harley Davidson Sportster Trike with the overiding color close to Kelly Candy Apple Green, (the photos do not show the color accurately and there is no glitter in the paint. If you look closely, the graphics actually say...."Hardley Davidson Shortster". I believe the gas tank is actual Harley and I don't know about the rest of the trike although the seat looks impressive with Harley logo on back as shown. I am not sure what the chasis was and it is powered by a 180cc either Honda or Honda clone engine. The bike starts easily with pull start and idles nicely. It features a suicide shift handle on left side. The bike only has one forward speed and neutral with a centrifical clutch. It has approx. 14" aluminum rear rims and motorcycle forks, handlebars and front wheel. I love the Fish Tail pipes, one is just for looks. Condition wise it is in very good used condition, but has the expected nicks, scratches & rubs and has some old gas stains running down from gas tank lid from spillage over the decades. It will need a new rear brake cable. This basically was built just to get attention for the rider and be as loud and inefficient as possible, that's why the world is doomed....! It has low top end speed but very torky. More often than not, you will find yourself with the front wheel off the ground, especially if you fill the vintage cooler on back with beer & ice. Simply made for Mayhem! I am putting this on a 10 day auction which will run through the March Meet at Famoso in California. Anyone coming to the meet can drive 40 minutes up the hill to Lake Isabella, where the bike will be displayed at the world famous Downtown Swapmeet located in the middle of downtown Lake Isabella, every weekend Sat & Sun. I have had inquiries as to whether this is street legal......... As it sits, it is NOT, not by a long shot. Although you could modify it with gears & lights, the current geometry is wicked......
