Vehicle Detail

I bought this car a few weeks ago thinking I would throw a little money at it and drive it for the summer. Personal problems sometimes get in the way of all our intentions. The car needs some work as I knew going in. The interior is loose. It must have been taken apart for the paint job. The dash is tight. Just the door panels and rear panels are in need of adjustment. The windows need to be adjusted as well. The windshield has a scratch in it that can be polished out. It does however have a stone chip in it. The radio and the clock don't work. The car has new carpeting. The top is new. A big plus. The car was delivered to me with an ignition key only. It will have to be rekeyed in the trunk as well. The interior overall with a little TLC will be very nice when finished. There are no rips or tears. The paint is good. It has a pearl white with light tan pinstripes factory in appearance. It needs to be buffed to make it stand out IMO. The motor was discovered to have pressure built in the cooling system upon warmup. This to me tells me there is a head gasket failure. It has a minor leak of antifreeze from the intake as well. The A/C needs a compressor or so I was told. The motor runs very well. Smooth. The starter needs a shim or two as it is not meshing with the flywheel correctly. This tells me that someone replaced the starter. It doesn't start hard, it actually starts right away and easily. The car has a new exhaust system complete with flowmaster mufflers. It leaks at the motor. Easy fix. Wheels and tires look fine. It needs rear brakes, fronts are good to go. Gas tank is solid with no leaks. I have a new set of sun visors for the car and a set of 455 emblems as well. I also have a set of lens covers for the back seat lights all purchased in the short time I owned the car. I had planned to go through the car and fix all the minor things I knew would be wrong with it. I paid 6k for it knowing what I was getting into. I planned a budget of 5k to get it on the road properly and still believe that can be achieved. I have tried to represent what this car is truly about, being as detailed as I can. I am a gearhead and can fix most anything. This project is not above my head. It is just the wrong time for it in my life. As I stated, I bought the car a few short weeks ago. This to me represents a mechanic's car. It needs some work but can be a very nice and solid driver with some time and money invested. Good luck bidding!
