This is a great mostly original GMC pick up - Ready to rat rod or turn into shop truck Was found in a barn in central Oregon 2 years ago after sitting for 20 years. The fluids were changed, new belts, tune up, battery, flushed fuel system, replaced fuel pump, installed alternator in place of generator, serviced the clutch and was a runner after that. I looked for years to find a nice original truck to make into a shop truck for my repair business in the Seattle area. This was the best one I could find after a long search. The brakes are high and a firm pedal, the steering is tight and overall very solid. I was going to replace the wood in the bed, rehang the heavy duty bumper, put old style lettering on the cab and use it. I got a new project I got more excited to have, so someone is getting a great old GMC. We tested the compression and all cylinders were 115 lbs ( normal for this engine). This has the HD Pontiac low compression truck engine and 4 speed manual, The miles are believed to be correct at 52k. No smoke or noises on any start up.This truck must have seen light duty work as it has the straightest body and bed side I have seen. It will need tires soon good but old and other TLC, Lights, wipers work. Body is solid and great floors in truck, has pin size bubbles in lower cab and fender corners. It measures 8' 2 ' inside the bed, so you can fit studs and plywood in the bed flat. I like the long bed myself, as I wanted it to be a driver and work truck. Thanks for all the phone calls. Steve
