Vehicle Detail
The auction is for the car minus the new rear end, new interior pieces, used engine and trans, and me doing the paperwork. If the bidder / buyer wants these items, prices will need to be negotiated. Here is a link to the car. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/...d.php?t=139993 This is a project car. I am willing to sell it many different ways. With or without the new rear end. With or without the new interior pieces. With or without paperwork. With or without an original 65 Hp273 engine and 904 trans (both need to be rebuilt). ******I am thinking $800 for the car without the new rear end, without the new interior stuff , without the engine and trans, and without me doing the paperwork.******* If the bidding doesn't get to $1600, I will be installing a good used 7 1/4 rear end, used springs and brakes. If the bidding reaches $1600, I will leave the new rear end, new leaf springs, Mopar spring relocating kit, and new brakes installed. If the bidding reaches $1900, I will include the new interior pieces. at $2100, I will include the 65 HP 273 and 904 trans. All of this is somewhat negotiable. The car is currently non-op'd in California but not in my name. I'm thinking around $2100 for everything I have. Or make a serious offer or trade for ?????? The car is originally white with black interior. It came as a 273 / 904 a/c/ p/s p/b car. It was built in the L.A. plant. It has been repainted at some time but doesn't seem to have had any major collision damage. It has some minor surface rust here and there and small rust holes down low in the 1/4s, very small. The rear end can be seen at the above link. I have around $1500 in it. I also have new leaf springs with a Mopar spring relocating kit. The K member was powder coated as were the strut rods. There is new A arm bushings, upper ball joints, lower control arm pivot bushings and strut rod bushings already installed. I stripped the carpet out and cleaned and POR15'd the floor area. There is zero rust out in the floor. I have a brand new black carpet kit, along with a new black package tray and new black door seals The seats have been recovered at one time and are in pretty good shape. The headliner is in real good shape. I bought this car as a project and gathered tons of parts to finish it. Then another really clean 65 Dart fell into my lap so this one got put on the back burner. I'm in no hurry to sell. My target purchaser would be someone looking for a real good basis for a nice build without having to do extensive rust repair. I am willing to assist in shipping to anywhere. I will take any pics requested Thanks for looking , Kevin On Feb-25-13 at 09:33:38 PST, seller added the following information: ***************************** This is a response to a question I received.*****************************........Hi Richard, I understand your concern. This is a project car in the sense that it probably needs attention everywhere, although it is extremely buildable in my eyes and that's why I bought it. I will get pics before the auction ends but it may be a little last minute. There is no carpet in it now. The new carpet kit is in a box from the retailer, as is the package tray and door rubber. I even bought extra lengths of matching carpet to do the door panels or whatever. The front seats are not bolted down in the car but they are pretty nice. The rear seat is in the car and it's nice. My family owned a restoration body shop when I was young and we worked on cars like this. One of the reasons I bought this car was that it had such little rust and no major prior body damage. I had every intention of building this car but the other car came along. I really don't want to sell the rear suspension as it's so nice and it will go right into the new car, but money talks. The rust on the bumper is something that I'm sure a rechroming will handle. The rust on the deck lid above the bumper is certainly there, but I would call it surface rust. The pics should show more detail. The steering column is out of the car but completely there. The instrument cluster has partially been removed but it's still attached to all of the electrical things it operates. There is a power steering box with hoses attached to a power steering pump, there is a master cylinder with a power booster on it, there are quite a bit of parts in the trunk.....valve covers, hub caps, some suspension stuff, another brake booster, radiator, trans cooler, a couple of carbs, and probably some stuff I'm forgetting. I'll try for pics asap. - moviebusesOn Feb-26-13 at 09:44:07 PST, seller added the following information: ************ PICS ADDED************* New Pic #1 Right rear 1/4 panel rust bubble New Pic #2 Right rear wheel arch surface rust New Pic #3 Right door lower corner rust bubble New Pic #4 Right door edge surface rust New Pic #5 Left rear 1/4 panel. This needs a patch piece to be fixed correctly. It is relatively small and is the worst part on the car. New Pic #6 Deck lid close up. This will need a very small patch to be fixed correctly.
