Vehicle Detail

Offered for sale are these two 1960 Fiat 1100 restoration projects. The sale consists of one 1960 Fiat 1100 station wagon and a matching sedan. The wagon is very uncommon in the US(this was imported privately as Fiat did not import station wagons). It is a Euro spec car with the extra side lights and amber tail lights. The sedan was a US spec car.Station Wagon:The wagon is not in running condition. I acquired it from a seller in VA who got the car from Texas. The Texas seller "restored"(if you can call it that!) the car. The body is needing paint and some rust repair(typical for Fiats). The floors have been reinforced with sheet metal. All door hinges work fine except the rear door, it needs some attention to the lower hinge. The interior is not complete. The original front seat is missing and replaced by a pair of ill fitting buckets. All interior door panels are present. The Texas "restorer" reupholstered the interior in yellow and white vinyl with shag carpet on the floor. The engine was rebuilt in Texas however, when this was done they neglected to install the canister oil filter(installed a by-pass hose instead!). Needless to say, the engine did not last. Presently it will turn over but I haven't actually started it. There is suppose to be a panel below the dash with various engine and heat controls, this is missing. All four door windows are cracked. The windshield wipers are missing. All four tires need replacing(dry rotted). All of the door stop straps are missing. This car was actually registered and on the road(in this condition!) in VA(till the engine became a problem)!!! This very uncommon Fiat deserves to be restored correctly.Sedan:I originally acquired this car to provide the needed parts for the station wagon but found the car to be in much better condition than a parts donor should be. This car sat is not in running condition. Its engine quit in 1974 and it appears that the owner started to repair it as the engine is partially disassembled(manifolds removed). At that time it was rolled into the garage and that's where it sat until I acquired it in June. The car appears to be complete and in relatively decent shape. The body is solid and nearly rust free (solid floors). The body does have a bit of surface rust(expected in vintage Fiats). It has several light lenses broken and creases across the right front corner and the trunk lid(these "contacts" broke the light lenses). One door window is cracked. The interior is in very good but dirty condition. It is entirely complete with even good rubber floor mats. The trunk appears to be rust free and contains all of the original equipment(even two extra Fiat jacks). This car would be a relatively easy restoration. The cars are in dry indoor storage(since fall).Double checked the papers I have and realized I have clear titles to both cars! These cars are being sold "AS IS/ AS FOUND"I have been asked if I'd sell the cars separately. Yes I would' with an asking prices of: wagon $1500 ; sedan $1200. You can submit an offer for either car.
