Vehicle Detail
63 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe. Red with white top, and Original Red interior. Stored for over 25 years. 4th owner, low mileage. Great driver, very solid, drives very well, runs great, puts off great appearance - needs restoration for show, but with a little TLC would make a very nice cruiser. Foose wheels are less than 1 year old, less than 500 miles on tires. I'll briefly cover the condition below, but please email if you want details. Paint: Looks nice, some light scratchs from being in storage. Could use color sanding and buffing, puts off very nice appearance. Paint is checking on top of pasenger rear quarter panel - something was spilled on the cover during storage and got into the paint (see picture). Car has been re-painted once, approximately 25 years ago. Interior: All original materials - except SS steering wheel insert. Lower door panels are the worst which could be easily fixed. Seats are sun burnt on top and worn but not ripped up - some musty smell from being in storage so long. All dome lights, signals, etc work fine. The only option on the car is a 2 speed wiper motor. Drive-Train: Don't run off - yes it is a 6 cylinder but it will get you anywhere you need to go, runs excellent, does not use oil, no chatter, smooth. I had the car 90 mph once on the interstate and it did fine. Easy swap to a V-8 if you have to have one. Powerglide automatic works perfect, probably a 355:1 gear with that combination, but not sure. Flloor/Trunk: The pictures show some patches in the corners of the truck - typical for these cars. Some of the underfloor braces have rust where they join the rocker panels, again typical. Trunk floor and floor pans are solid. Looks like some rust repair has been done in the front lip of the hood, but it is not serious. I was told the car has 100% of it's orignal sheetmetal.
