Vehicle Detail
This is my fiance’s car – she’s had it since it was new, she’s a car enthusiast (part of what I love about her lol) and as you can see she’s taken extremely good care of it. We just drove the car from Los Angeles to Central Florida in early November and it performed flawlessly. I recently bought her a new car and I've got my house for sale so the big garage is going away which means it’s time to find this baby a new home. Someone’s gonna get a REALLY nice car at a great price. She’s probably gonna kill me for putting this in the auction, but she’s 52 years old – point being you’re buying a car that’s been driven since new by a conscientious woman, not some kid with a lead foot. Don’t get me wrong, I like kids just fine, but I prefer to buy my cars from, shall we say, more "mature" owners J While I’m a car guy, to be candid I’m not intimately familiar with RX8’s specifically, and I’ve only been in her life (and the car’s life) about a year and a half, but I did the vast majority of the driving across the country so I have a lot of hours behind the wheel of this car (a little over 2500 miles in just over a week) – the car drives exceptionally well. In the 9 years she’s owned it she’s never had any problems with the car, and my experience of the car is such that I wouldn’t hesitate to sell this car to a friend or a relative who was planning on driving it right back to California – it’s an excellent car mechanically, and the body, paint, and interior are all in unusually nice condition with very few and very minor exceptions. There are some stone chips on the front air dam, and the piping on the outside edge of the driver’s seat is showing some wear from getting in and out of the car (easy fix - see photos). The car's always been garaged, so other than that there’s really not much to make note of. If you want to call me and have me do a walk around or take pictures of some specific portion of the car for you, please feel free to do so. If you're local, you're also welcome to come see the car in person if you'd like, but please do so BEFORE the auction ends. I think the pictures I took will give you a really good idea of what you can expect. Mind you the car’s not perfect, but for an ’04 it’s really, REALLY nice. Most of the miles are commuter miles on some of SoCal’s less populated freeways (she lived north of Los Angeles out past Magic Mountain), so the car’s had an easy life. In the interest of full disclosure, she told me she had a minor fender bender in a Starbuck’s parking lot some years ago (someone didn’t see her behind them and backed out of a parking space and hit the right front corner), but instead of repairing the parts she replaced the front bumper and the right front fender. The color of the car is Velocity Red Mica (it's a little hard to tell from the photos but it's a beautiful pearl metallic red, not your typical "solid" red color) and the shop did an excellent job matching the paint – had she not told me I wouldn’t have believed the fender had been painted. See the photos and you’ll see what I mean. I did a quick search and here is a complete list of equipment that comes with the AT Grand Touring Package. Everything on the car works exactly as it should.AT Grand Touring Package - $4700 · Front Air Dam· Side and Rear Aero Flares· Xenon Headlights w/Automatic Leveling · Dynamic Stability Control · Traction Control · Tochigi Fuji Limited Slip Differential · Torque sensing. · Tires: P225/45R18 · Wheels: 18" x 8JJ Aluminum Alloy · Bose Audio · Includes 9-speaker sound system featuring Bose AudioPilot. · Automatic Day/Night Rearview Mirror · HomeLink Wireless Control System · Electric Moonroof · Leather Trimmed Upholstery · Faux Leather Side Door Trim Material · 8 Way Power Driver's Seat · Includes recline, lumbar, tilt, lift and slide. · Heated Front Bucket Seats · Lumbar Support · Front Fog Lights · Dual Power Heated Mirrors · Larger Front Brakes · Sport Tuned Suspension She also had the dealer add the chromed factory wheels, which look really nice. Most of these cars have silver wheels. Bottom line – it’s a nice pre owned car that’s been well cared for and driven modestly. Looks and runs great. I’m confident you’ll be quite pleased. My name is Bill, and feel free to call me with any questions or if there is anything you’d like to discuss. I’m at (352) 751 4878. Or you can email me through eBay. Whichever you’d prefer. Good Luck, and Happy Bidding JIMPORTANT NOTE (Added Sun. Feb 10th 8:15am): My lovely fiance just brought to my attention that I forgot to mention the car also has the factory Navigation System with the retractable screen, not an unimportant fact when you consider that it was a $2000 option. Silly me J
