Relist Note: We understand that it sometimes takes multiple listings to enable enough people opportunity to see the ad. The winning bidder over reserve asked to retract his bid due to a family medical emergency, so we understandably let him do so, leaving the bidding under reserve at $5,300.00. We are now relisting with that amount as the opening bid. Our original description is below: (We have added the VIN this time in case you want to check mfg. info, carfax, etc.) Our restored 1965 International D1500 1&1/2 ton flat bed truck is brought back to as close to new condition as possible. We have done a complete frame up restoration on this truck which you will look long and hard to try to find one in this condition. This is a "frame up" restoration, because we did not actually remove the cab or front sheet metal from the frame. We completed restoration of the undercarriage in these areas on our lift. The odometer reads less than 47000 miles and judging by the condition and amount of wear to tell tale parts, we believe that to be the actual mileage and the truck came from an older gentleman's local farm. To see more pictures of the truck and the restoration process visit our photobucket site at: http://s1189.photobucket.com/albums/z438/Wildfire_R-S/1965%20D1500%20International%20Flatbed%20Truck/ The photo bucket link attached will show a detailed account of the restoration process. The complete restoration of the brakes is not shown here, however we disassembled, cleaning, replacing necessary parts and inspection of all brakes, the brake lines, all seals and hoses. Undercarriage and frame was sandblasted, painted and clear coated. As you can tell by the pictures, it is like new underneath. The truck has a sweet running inline six cylinder and four speed manual transmission, backed up with a two speed axle. The bed boards were replaced and the new boards were sanded, stained and sealed. Wheels are painted white, with the split rings painted to match the truck color. Tires are in good condition. All lights work and much of rear wiring replaced and put in wire loom. Even the "old school" cab clearance lights were restored to original. As you can see in the before pictures this truck was very straight and virtually rust free, even before we completely repainted it inside and out with two stage PPG urethane and clear coated enamel. The interior was professionally restored to brand new by a local upholstery shop, specializing in custom work. The restoration includes new seat, door panels, arm rests and headliner. We also added radiant barrier insulation to the cab before the new interior went in. The original radio is in the truck, but does not have a speaker hooked to it. If the purchaser desires, we will be happy to restore the radio to original operating condition for an agreed, reasonable fee. This is a great running classic and will get you where ever you want to go. You just don't need to be in a big hurry because as with most of these old trucks it is a bit slow getting there. Top speed even with the two speed axle is about 50 to 55 mph. We have restored many classic vehicles. Our shop manager is a meticulous artist in this work with over 40 years experience. We are picky, picky, some might even say anal about the quality of our restorations being the best they can be. A couple of the specialty vintage trucks we have done have been bought by happy business owners to park in front of their establishments to attract customers, use in parades, etc. We can see numerous businesses that could benefit from the promotion this truck would bring to them.
