Please only bid if your serious. The last buyer wasn't serious & if you have no feedback don't bid until you get a hold of me. Hello Ebay Bidders... Up for bid is this Beautiful 1947 Lincoln Continental The car was built in the 80's & It was owned by the Famous Pinstriper Von Hot Rod. I've had the car for about 10 years now & the only thing I have done to it was a fresh paint about 5 years ago. The car is very sexy. The paint is like an Aqua or Teal color with white interior. Car is always garaged kept so the paint is still very very nice. Chrome is great as well... It is Chopped about 4 inches. Shaved door handles " Sorry no electric poppers but it still has the push button to open doors from the inside. Frenched taillights and license plate. It has a switch inside to pop the trunk open .Tilt Steering and locks when you pull the key out which is cool.. Nice sound system.. It also has flame throwers set up in the exhaust tips which is pretty cool... Small Block Ford 302 engine with Automatic Transmission . It's a newer rear end.. Mileage is unknown so I just put a random # since I can't put unknown ... Runs great... The interior is white and stills looks great ... Very Cool Cruiser and it always catches attention and wins trophies no matter where we go.. You don't see many Lincolns from the 40's looking like this. I always see them original so be different.... Here's a link to a YouTube video of more pictures http://youtu.be/Ld5OGVl52c4 & this one on the road http://youtu.be/lBZjB3vP5sk If the link does not work just copy the link and paste on your web browser search bar... It also has a lumber support system comprising an air bag disposed behind the upholstery sheet of the front seat, a manual air pump and a valve assembly for controlling the supply of air from the manual air pump into the air bag as well as the discharge of the air contained in the air bag. Kinda like a manual lumbar support Lincoln Zephyr or Lincoln Continental? I always say it's a Zephyr until one day someone said if I had documentation that it was a Zephyr. It was my understanding that Lincoln dropped the Zephyr name about the time they ceased producing the senior Lincolns and postwar they were all "Lincolns". In other words they stopped using the Zephyr name some time in the early or mid 40s even though the car they produced was a Zephyr in all but name until 1948. From 1936 through 1942 the word "Zephyr" appeared on all the cars and in all the magazine ads. After the war, the name "Zephyr" no longer appeared anywhere on the car, but the car didn't change. "Lincoln Zephyr" appeared on the hubcaps through 1940 (even on the 1940 Continental). In 1941 the hubcaps had "Lincoln V-12" on them so they could be used on both Zephyrs and Continentals. From 1942 through 1948, hubcaps only had "Lincoln" on them and in 1948 only the front hubcaps said "Lincoln". Since fender skirts covered the rear hubcaps, why spend money for the "Lincoln" sign? I only put Continental instead of Zephyr because when I moved from From L.A to Vegas the DMV in NV put Continental instead of Zephyr & I didn't catch it until I received the title, but It didn't bother me. So If it bothers you and you win it then when you register it you can have it corrected.. Also if your wondering how to open the door if the windows are up & It doesn't have electric poppers to open. This car was built in California so since the mods it has always been in Cali until I moved to Vegas which is a little similar weather " except the summer" but any way the car has always been garaged kept. Never had no reason to have the windows up. If I went somewhere and left the car unattended, The car is Chopped so it's hard to get in through the window if they tried to steal it. The little side windows or winglettes were never installed so when the windows goes up, the windows have a little piece missing like where the side windows are suppose to go. You can either get the side windows with trim done or redo the windows to the shape and avoids the gap. It's up to you. I never had to worry about it.. The Power windows are a little sticky I guess for not using them . They are there but the switches look like from the 80's. They are under the dash. So those might need some attention. Easy fix. Get some new ones or put some nice chrome ones on the door panel to give some more style... Like I said this is a beautiful car. Don't expect to get it at a reasonable price & try to sell for triple the money at a Mecum or Barret Jackson auction.. It needs very little attention but a very nice cruiser... I have described the car to the best of my ability. The car is sold AS IS. No warranty expressed or implied. The seller reserves the right to end the auction at any time. The car is for sale locally. A non refundable $500.00 deposit is due within 2 days of sale through PayPal. Final payment is due within 7 days of sale. All funds must clear sellers bank prior to the buyer taking possession of the vehicle. Buyer is responsible for delivery.. Women not included... On Nov-28-12 at 07:06:55 PST, seller added the following information: Also forgot to mention that the dummy lights light up and underneath the front fenders just enough that when your cruising at night it stands out even more. It's not that ridiculous neon type that lights up the whole pavement but just enought that you can see at night when your cruising.
