For sale is a 1995 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.7 litre engine. Transmission was rebuilt last year. Battery is new. Radiator is new. Had the intake gasket replaced. U joints on the driveshaft is new. Rear differential was just replaced. All accessories are operational and the vehicle has no fluid leaks. Has a remote start. Has Magnaflow exhaust system. When the weather is cold, the engine sounds like it has a bearing noise. In the spring and summer the noise goes away. The windshield is cracked. I am not sure why the engine noise is there only because there is no misfire and the oil pressure is good. I am sure with someone who knows engines a set of bearings will quiet this down. Well I just noticed the miles and I am not interested but this is what is bad with the engine it is called piston slap now I do not know how loud it is but piston slap is the rocking of the piston in the bore now pistons are made of aluminum and expand a whole lot when heated this is no reason to be worried my 2003 ford explorer v8 had piston slap the day bought it new it now has 267000 miles and sounds the same now if this is something that happened lately then it was most likely over heated but then again nothing to worry about as long as u can live with the noise also my 350 chevy stock car was built with piston slap on purpose so when it got very hot the piston would not stick in the bore turning 6,500 rpm every race for 1 year
