Up for sale is a 2002 VW Jetta TDI that we obtained as a local trade in as a single owner car since new and it shows. It has not been on the road since 2007 and inspection sticker that expired 2007 proves that.It is powered by a 1.9 liter diesel 4 cylinder engine that starts right up and puuuurs like a kitten.Transmission shift fine thru all the gears as it should.We test drove this car for over 50 miles problem free and should be a great car for somebody looking for a reliable diesel forever running engine and getting over 40 MPG along the way! Mechanically very sound car but we did notice that brakes have some rust on them and probably needs replacing and best educated guess is that has something to do with car being parked for long time. Nevertheless, car stops just fine and could be driven the way it is. AC does not blow cold,radio and driver door window does not work at this time. Heat is excellent! Tires are good with 3 of them being a match with over 75% tread remaining. Fourth tire is at about 40% and it is different brand(Bridgestone). Sunroof works in all positions. Fuel gauge does not work as it always shows empty even if the fuel tank is full. Exterior is in decent condition with few imperfections shown in the pictures. Interior is decent for its age an it qualify to be called normal wear. It would benefit from a good cleaning.Armrest cover door is broken like the most of them at this age.
