Vehicle Detail
The car is wet in the pictures so you can see the condition of the body...there are some parts that are brown primered and others that are old brown paint. Car needs body work and paint..and general restoration. Small bb shot in the front windshield (usable for a driver)..all other glass is good. This is a 1971 Nova California car...has been sitting for a few years, but the engine does fire up and sound good when running off a fuel can. Has powerglide transmission, manual drum brakes and power steering. Originally Classic Copper, was painted once in a more straightforward brown color. There seem to be very few modifications done to this car in the last 41 years. Has the wrong air cleaner, a slightly later steering wheel and the front seat was redone in a similar material. Other than that it seems unmolested. The passengers door and that same side fender are from a different car and seem to have been put on the car years ago. Still has its original AM radio and rubber floor mats, trunk floor is excellent as are the floors as viewed from underneath. The panel below the rear window trim that runs along the bottom of the rear window needs replacing and I have that piece. Has a few rust bubbles along the roof drip moulding on the drivers side where it slopes down by the rear side window. Also comes with a new package tray, the original body side mouldings and some small bits. Missing one hood hinge, the bumper brackets and the hood latch. Will work on getting it running and will update here with any progress. Interior needs redoing too. Check out the edges of the doors and an old Tuneup Master sticker from 1974! The hood, front fenders and trunk lid were all sand blasted and primed. Mostly pretty straight, a couple of dings on the trunk lid, and the hood has an old patch of bondo that needs redoing on the top near the front. Overall everything fits well, the doors open and close great, no import parts on the car and its all usable with a little work. Needs an ignition switch in the steering column. Tires while near new when mounted are old and should probably be replaced. Will be sold with application for duplicate title paperwork, has about $590 in back registration fees in CA..if you are going out of state that doesnt matter, and I have heard that there is a exception in the law for older/classic cars where they waive back due registrations and penalties...look that up for yourself to be sure. Car is for sale locally so auction might end at any time.. Ask questions...please dont assume anything...a project car is too hard to describe fully here... Car is a project but a very solid and unmolested one. Looks cool already..you can get it running and use it as is, if youre handy. TERMS: Full payment is to be in my hands within 3 days of auction end. Manner of payment is strictly my choosing..it depends on whom you bank with etc. Can facilitate for a transporter on my end..but check out rates to get it transported BEFORE you bid. Your bid means you pay that amount..PERIOD. This is a serious auction!
