Vehicle Detail

The Cummins 610 Turbo Diesel, available on 2005 models, was more powerful, and particulates and nitrogen oxides (NOx) were reduced to meet all states' emission standards - even California's. The piston combustion bowl and a high-flow, electronically controlled waste-gated turbocharger matched boost pressure with engine needs to reduce emissions. This solution did not require exhaust gas recirculation, avoiding the need for over 50 components. More to the point for most owners, the 610 had, appropriately, 610 lb.-ft. (827 N•m) of torque starting at 1,600 rpm. The Cummins turbodiesel also provided an average of 350,000 miles before an overhaul was needed, thanks partly to gallery cooled, high-strength aluminum pistons; gallery cooled, high-strength aluminum pistons, high-strength Inconel® exhaust valves and high-cobalt Stellite® exhaust valve seats, a high-strength exhaust manifold with multi-layer gasket between head and manifold; and forged steel, fracture-split connecting rods. The Cummins 610 was quieter due to many noise reduction systems, including pilot injection - a short burst of fuel before the main injection which reduced the spike in combustion pressure for dramatically quieter combustion. This is not your ordinary, run of the mill Dodge Ram 2500 4X4. This 2005 single owner Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 Quad Cab SLT features the legendary 5.9L I6 Common Rail Cummins Turbo Diesel in Mineral Gray metallic w/ Silver lower accent. I purchased this truck brand new in 2005 with a MSPR of $43,000. Original stickers are still with the truck. I am the original and ONLY owner of this vehicle. I have put countless hours into this truck and about $20,000 to make it look like it does today. This truck has never been raced or abused. The motor is built up a bit, but it was built for show purposes. I just never had/have the time to take it to any. I have never put this truck on the dyno, but the estimated power is around 800whp and 1100wft/lbs. That’s estimated power to the wheels on 37” mud tires. This is one big and fast truck. I can definitely tell you it’s faster than a corvette. So here is what all I have done to this truck: APPEARANCE: Custom 6.5" Lift w/ Dual front/single rear and custom dual steering stabilizer ft. Bilstein 5100’s. JKS Quicker Disconnects on front sway bar 22X9.5" Custom Powdercoated KMC Monsters & 37” Toyo MTs (70% tread remaining) 2006-2010 Laramie front clip upgrade.
