You are bidding on a 2001 Volvo s40 with only 68,000 miles! Almost all the miles on this car are from driving back and forth between my parent’s house in Long Island and my former residence in Rhode Island. I just moved to New York City and no longer have a need for a car. The car runs and drives great. There have never been any noticeable problems with the engine, however, the check engine light is on. I never noticed any difference in the way the car runs/drives since the light has come on. It leads me to believe this is some sort of faulty sensor. The SRS light is also on. In addition to the car running and driving well, there are no fluids leaking from the car, the transmission shifts into all gears, the brakes work fine, the heat works fine, the A/C works fine, the interior is in pretty good shape (there are scratches here and there from normal wear and tear but there are no major issues like tears in the leather interior), I just put a new battery in, the tires seem to be in pretty good shape. I have an after market CD player installed but the original Volvo CD Player is in the trunk if you want to re-install it. As for the exterior, the car has never been in an accident other than my neighbor scraped some paint off the front bumper when it was parked, but it has been professionally fixed (on the AutoCheck they consider this an accident for some reason). There are some dents and scratches around the car and a small 1 by 3 inch area above the right taillight with the glossy coating of the paint missing. One of the headlight wipers does not function (they really don't serve any purpose anyway). The side view mirror glass lost its stick and fell off recently (not the mirror itself, just the glass), so that will need to be replaced (it should only cost you around $30). Overall its in pretty good shape considering it is a 2001. As you can see, I am a believer in full disclosure. I believe I covered everything about the car that I found to be a problem. I tried to take as many pictures as possible so you can see for yourself. I have made a reasonable attempt to accurately describe this vehicle. Regardless my effort to describe this vehicle in as much detail as possible, there may be something you notice that I did not. Failing to mention, for example an item such as a paint imperfection, does not constitute refusal of a car by the buyer. This is a used car. I am selling it AS-IS/WHERE-IS.
