Vehicle Detail

Classic 1972 Mercedes Benz W108 sedan. This is a 200 series 280 SE model with the desirable 4.5L. 126K miles. The engine runs SUPER, with lots of power and plenty of torque. Completely stock V.8 engine except for a complete tune, reblt water pump, brake master and FLOWMASTER exhaust. Automatic transmission ( with column shifter lever) which shifts very well and precise into all forward and reverse gears; Power steering ( which does not leak), Power disc brakes ( new rear brakes and rear struts), electric Power sunroof ( does not leak), Power windows ( all four work) and its original, factory A/C ( system works but needs to be re-charged). Many of the suspension and steering bushings replaced. Rblt electric fuel pump, battery and alternator. Updated 300 SEL wheels ( correct optional wheels for the period), with SE door trim. Palomino interior is in good condition. Front bucket seats had been replaced with the ones pictured, as the original frames were badly worn. These came off another 72' 4.5 donor, along with the wheels, and its correct, original steering wheel ( it had a hideous 1970s "chrome" wheel). Original finish has aged as expected, after 41 years of life. One very small bump on the left rear corner as pictured. The Mercedes has always been burgundy, no color changes or repaints. Super solid floorboards and chassis. This 4.5 starts, runs and drives well. UNRESTORED bargain! I need to sell it to complete some home projects. It comes with a CLEAR California title, and it has always been a local car. It is being offered with a ridiculously low opening bid of $500, and NO RESERVE. Please be advised that I am advertising the 4.5 locally and in various Mercedes-Benz venues, and as such, I reserve the right to end this auction early, should a serious committed offer come across the table, or should a BUY-IT-NOW offer present itself. So don't go to sleep and miss out~! Upon the end of the auction, I would like to receive payment within three business days, PLEASE. Make sure that your funds or source of money is in place and ready to make payment should you be the winning bidder. If that means asking your significant other for permission, make sure that is done IN ADVANCE to your placing a bid. Feel free to ask any questions, prior to placing a bid, and prior to the end of the auction. We are all grown-men here, so please, let's act accordingly. I am a CPT in the Army Reserve, and do not like to play games or waste other people's time. Please do not do so with mine. I treat everybody with maturity and respect, and except the same in return. Payment can be submitted by means of a Cashier's check or money order(s). Personal, business or C.C advance or annuity checks may be utilized, but must clear funds first, prior to any transportation arrangements being made. Addtionally, a bank wire transfer can be done to my local CHASE Banbk branch in town. It allows for faster shipping arrangements and expedites the process considerably. Finally, PAYPAL may be an option, if previously arranged between the prospective buyer and I, prior to placing a bid, and prior to the end of the auction. Upon receipt of payment, I shall mail you the CA title and Bill of sale ot the car. I shall be glad to arrange or assist with transportation / delivery of this Mercedes Benz anywhere nationwide or overseas, at the most economical shipping rate available. Feel free to EM me or call with questions. Thank you for your interest.!
