Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1970 Dodge Challenger SE with auto console, bucket seat, power steering, power disc brakes, AC, am/fm/cd, 400 cu in The radiator has been replaced with a new 26" 3 core. Factory AC but now Vintage Air system. Paint is from older resto approx 14-15yrs as told by previous owner but still looks good with a few chips/cracks and minor wear. Vinyl top is in good shape. Since I've owned it, the master cylinder, rubber brake hoses and some steel brake lines were replaced. The engine bay harness and other wiring replaced. Power steering hoses and steering coupling replaced. I also put in new u-joints, motor mounts, and transmission mounts. Starter replaced and electronic ignition installed. Two new front tires and an alignment done. I drive it daily and it’s been a lot of fun and an attention attracter. Not a perfect new show car but a nice cruiser. I just need rather take the time to work on my 70 RR project. Its not an original numbers matching car. Some pictures are from the car being used a few weeks ago in a wedding. As you can see it will need the overhead console reattached to the headliner and the sunvisor clip pieces installed. The E-brake rear cables are missing. The lower A/C hose at the compressor needs a recrimp to stop a slow leak but if it sells I will probably get it done and recharged. The ac worked fine all summer. Carb just started to get the float sticky now and then and cause a little gas to weep out the butterfly shaft. A small tap to the carb and it’s good to go. The speedo works but does not register correctly and the clock second hand works but hour hands don’t. All the others work and have all had at one time been restored. The door panels were redone at one time but have started flaking some. Maybe didn’t have a good clean prep but for some effort and a couple cans of dye/paint would look great again. The front bumper is slightly pushed into the left fender from a dear putting a small dent that is not major and around the parking light under it. Happened to the previous owner. Most stuff needing completion is low cost but I would rather present the car as it is before hand then apply lipstick and makeup to cover things up. If you have much negative feedback and have bailed out on other purchases please don’t waste my time. If you’re the winner then you’ll be expected to pay for it. The time is now for questions and inspection; not after the auction. I will help where I can to get to a shipper but transportation is the winners responcibilty .Winner will be required to place a deposit immediately after the auction. I’m not waiting for loans, tax refunds, etc. If you don’t have the funds available now, try somewhere else. Best time to call is 9am-1pm EST. I work 1:30 –10:30pm. otherwise leave a message with time to call and I'll call you back when I get back in. 843 572-8718 SC Vehicle is sold as is where is with no expressed warranty. Again ask before you bid. email with a valid email address that can receive any more pictures or requests. I can only have 24 listed. I will try to find a host site to load up many more and post when I get it doneQuestions: Do you have a buy it now and what’s the reserve? Car is advertised locally and I reserve the right to end early if the reserve is not met. If you want to make an offer then be the highest current bidder before you do. The reserve is less than 15K but that doesn't equate to buy it now. If its met reserve and near the end day of the auction I’ll let it ride out unless some ridicules great deal comes to me which isn’t likely to happen. How long you had it? Since June of 2012. Previous owner had about 15yrs. How much body work has been done to it? I don’t know. It was completed as well as the R/T cloning before the previous owner got it. I see there was some at the fender where it contacted the bumper. What you see body and paint is how I bought it and for a paint job that old if there was a bunch of bad repairs I feel it would be coming out showing a long time back. Not a fresh job trying to hide anything. Will you take a trade? May consider a running driving small block B/E-Body or Daytona Superbird Clone trade but prefer cash. No boats, motorcycles, street rods, project cars etc. I have one project to get back on already and currently own or had the rest too. What year is the motor from? Car was originally a 318/904 now with a 1975 400 and 727 tranny. Mileage was around 75K runs good and as far as I know never been torn down. I think the rest came from a real R/T donor car What’s the fender tag info?
